For almost a season and a half, SOOOOO many episodes were centered around The Lord of the Rings movies. Everybody was of course parodying them at the time, but you could tell Matt and Trey were really big fans, so much so that it inspired a video game. They were putting references and jokes in so many places but never in a derisive and mocking way. So that being said, 'The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers' is one of the better one's they ever wrote.

I remember finding out a few years ago that everyone hated the parody of great expectations with the british kid. That one always stuck out to me as being unqiue and good. Am I mis-remembering it? Is it really as bad as people say it is?
I dunno, there's A LOT of episodes, and I'm nearly 40-years-old so I've been watching them since elementary school.Honestly, when I think about South Park, these days, I enjoyed the fairly recent "Safe Space" episode. I enjoyed the characters, the music, and the social commentary.
