An almost perfect movie
So what's it lacking?
inb4 >interview with a vampire
>>220505287I think this is genuinely my favorite movie of all time. I base that solely on how much I can rewatch it, and I rewatch this on any rainy afternoon. It's so cozy, well paced, well acted. The Elegiac tone works for me. Right after this is 9th gate, but Interview with the vampire is better because the cast is impeccable
>>220505668Tom and Brad kissing
>>220505287Is this the only horror film Tom Cruise ever starred in? I can't think of any others.
>>220506675The Mummy
>>220506284
Anyone seen the tv show? The clips I've seen have the characters really absorbing the world and characters but also super gay.
>>220506903It's the usual woke remake. The funniest part is that blackwashing Louis is not the only change of the basic concept: he's no longer a plantation owner because of... reasons. But wait, there's more:>In 1910, Louis is a 33-year-old closeted Creole man and successful brothel owner in New Orleans. He is haunted by guilt and seethes at the racism directed at him.
>>220507246I never thought about how that would change the story but that seems like a good narrative rewrite explanation. The renquest quartet is my modern vampire book series.
>>220507246I think some of the writers are actually racist and put this shit on purpose and then pretend its actually empowering and promotes diversity
