This was actually pretty good. I thought it was going to be two hours of a fag leech on vacation and it turned out to be much more than that.

I had the same experience.
I went into it blind, not knowing what to expect.
About an hour in and I'm like "ok it's just a gay romance movie"
But then that boat scene happens and it becomes a different movie altogether.
Good movie.

Is this on Netflix now, or why there's suddenly daily threads?

I've only watched the Alain Delon version.

In the book, Tom was even more evil.

The movie treats killing of Dickie as "heat of the moment", in the books Tom plans the murder carefully.

The next one you should watch.
Cool movie, mid trailer.

That initial bit where it seems to be just another well-cast euro romantic drama is such patient setup. It feels like tne worst thing that can happen is Tom getting his heart broken. It turns out Tom is the worst thing that can happen to other people

This made me think that Jude Law could’ve been a great Anakin Skywalker
