If they make any new James Bond films (and I hope they do) they should be period pieces, being set in the 1960s or 1970s, as being set in today's world the character of James Bond, as originally envisioned, is "problematic" for film makers, and fans of the original movies don't like how they have to modify the character to meet modern expectations/community demands.
