This was the last time a movie felt like an adventure to me

>Great period piece and high production values
>An island full of prehistoric creatures and lost civilization, tons of detail in every frame
>The natives are actually scary and barbaric
>Nightmarish creatures, danger around every corner
>Characters actually die, deaths and gore that push the PG-13 limit as much as they could
>No irony, no pop music, etc

I want to see a modern Arthur Conan Doyle's Lost World but it'll probably be lame and gay
