>cillian murphy staring for 3 hours: the moviebravo nolan
Nolan's usually pretty good with body language and facial tics showing how people think and respond non-verbally, but I saw the first half of Oppenheimer and it seemed too clipped in that regard.
>>220515271Yep, clipped and cracked, more like sloppen(((heimer))) fr fr unc.
hard to believe that the studio wanted marilyn manson for oppenheimer
>>220515302 take your medsnolan could film a guy watching paint dry and you'd still call it "cracked" because there wasn't a cape or a quip every 30 seconds. the whole point is he's imploding internally while the world crowns him king of the nerds. it's not supposed to be bombastic MCU face acting.also lol at acting like murphy staring isn't doing 90% of the heavy lifting. dude looks like he hasn't slept since 1942. that's the character. not every performance needs to be leo crawling through mud screaming.if anything it's the first time nolan actually let a scene breathe instead of cross-cutting between 6 timelines and a ticking clock.
