For me, Kevin Costner films represent the worst aspects of 90s Hollywood. Schmaltzy bullshit with a bland but egotistical lead. Fortunately, he torched his own career by making Waterworld twice.

I saw parts of Field of Dreams when I was a kid when my parents rented it when we were on a holiday and like it. I happened to rewatch it in recent years right after my dad died and I think that was a mistake.
