Do you miss cable television?
>even in the 2000's you had all the channels in the world and only five things to watchThe world peaked in the 90's, didn't it?
>>220518699Your dubs seem to confirm the case
>>220518662>Streaming>Can watch literally any kino I want, whenever I want, even on my fucking phone. If you think cable was better, you’re smoking some serious shit unc.
>>220518662I do miss the analog days of channel surfing when changing channels was instant. Once everything went digital and it took 1-2 seconds to change the channel, it wasn't as much fun. Now with streaming it's a huge hassle to change the channel.
>>220519070Shit, I forgot all about that feeling.
>>220518662I miss a lot of shit. That's not one of them.
>>220518662What I truly miss is the time it takes to switch a (analog) channel, meaning the time until a full picture of the new channel appears on the screen. Best satellite receiver I had could switch between 2 and 3 channels per second, and display them on the screen. I don't even know if a digital TV exists that reaches half that speed.
>>220519733Unironically the new xumo streaming boxes that cable companies are pushing let you relive that joy. You have the same channels but it’s done over WiFi and not coax. I’m more surprised boomers haven’t yet revolted over them, when you turn it on it doesn’t go back to a channel automatically ; you have to choose the live TV option.
>>220518662whatever happened to predictability?the milk man, the paper boy, even tv?
>>220518662>Do you miss cable television?Ah yes I miss my daily government slopagganda
>>220518662Yeah, kinda, there's less sense of cultural FOMO now that anything can be watched whenever
