There's nothing wrong with Joss Whedon, he's written a lot of hits that were very well liked in their time. The problem is two-fold: one, whenever something is good and/or successful, there's always a flood of people to imitate it, until eventually you get people who think Lord of the Rings is 'generic fantasy' because it looks like all the other fantasy stuff they've ever seen. Two, a lot of people, especially very low IQ people, just tend to think in extremes and memes and throw the baby out with the bathwater. One guy decides Whedon is the problem, he says it in green, some retards start repeating it, etc and it just becomes a thing to say without a lot of thought to it. Everything in life is 'you had to be there' and most of you are coming into this stuff two decades after the fact and wondering what the big deal is about the special effects in Star Wars, they don't even look that good.

>>220524072Whedon can write well when he steps out of his comfort zone. His propensity for quipping indicates he is embarassed by the genre in which he writes.
>>220524072He sided with sarkesian and threw the male audience under the bus, only to get revealed to be a sex pest. Fuck him.
