First Leia is not the main character and she's not the main focus of the "hero's journey" unlike Luke. Her first flaw is being reckless. You see that in the Detention Center in where she steps out and is aggressive and careless. It does help out the heroes, but she could have been killed. If it were made in the 1970s, it still wouldn't be woke. Alien has a female protagonist, and Aliens is specifically about her maternal instinct to protect Newt, and no one calls those woke.
But if it were made today, yes, it would probably be woke.

If Luke was female and nothing else was changed at all, it would be one of the best female characters in media. One of the problems with casting women for roles like this is that the acting and directing changes completely. If they made Luke a female she would be a smug cunt and characters would refer to her being female and say a girl can't beat them up.
