Why can't modern movies match this anymore?
>>
>>220524574
Actually that is too yellow
>>
A combination of economics of movie making, the unresolved 2000s writer's guild strike and the rise of social media effects on humanity.

Why can't Fatso Hackson match this in his own movies anymore?
>>
>>220524574
Because if they did, you or some faggot like you would sarcastically recap the plot in green before saying "slop" fifty times a day

Early 2000's digital colouring makes me want to fucking vomit. It's that weird era where everything was a disgusting orange and blue.
Darude Sandstorm is a perfect example of this grossness

Brotherhood of the Wolf was better.

Yeah it would be the milquetoast youtubers who would have a problem with movies like this being made again, of course.

Watched that, overall story was a bit mid. Maybe too theatrical? I liked Monica Bellucci though.

fpbp that looks ugly

millennium era hollywood films had a strange lack of self-awareness and had a peculiar self-important earnestness about them.

to be fair I would never have given the director of braindead millions of dollars and carte blanche to make a huge blockbuster about elves and goblins
it's a risk, to say the least

Look at Theoden healing.

In modern movies he'd turn into perfect pristine smooth skinned dude. But here he still has loose hair and is unkempt. But the transformation is still obvious. He still looks wise and old but he regained energy. Nowadays in MCU era it would be done in some garbage clean pritine CGI that would remove all tear and wear and grittyness from the actors.

i'd argue they tried too hard to make it NOT camp, and that was to the detriment of the films.

shut the fuck up about your bombadil bullshit

Why is Sam taller than Frodo? Come to think, why is Frodo smaller than the other Hobbits?
>>
>>220524574
the effects actually did not age very well. gollum needs a total replacement. honestly think its worth giving jackson a hundred million to redo some things and rerelease in theaters. would be in the top 10 for box office for the year. kind of a no brainer.

Yeah it looks like a Mexico piss filter.
