The Chosen is actually a pretty good adaptation of the biblical story of Jesus. It's pretty sympathetic to the pharisees and Romans which surprised me. It's not actually great television but I've never seen a better take on this story. They made Matthew autistic for some reason which is hilarious

And them making Mathew not just an autist but a cliche turbo autist is an odd choice . Like how autistic could you even be back then, every thing smelled like shit, math couldn’t have been that advanced. There were no trains. Little gripes but I have a feeling because people who watch are generally Christian they’d be hesitant to give any criticism, which is silly because it’s not scripture it’s just art and it probably needs some criticism

After the events of the gospels the temple is destroyed and jews are banned from jerusalem.
