Why do I feel kucked by the ending and finale of BCS?It feels like nothing paid off
>dies in prison to impress a woman who left you and found another guynot good man
>>220534341Because you've expected the show to be about how Saul becomes himself from Breaking Bad (the guy who suggested the crew to kill Badger twice, completely unprompted), and that never happens, because Vince is not interested in telling this story. Instead, you got boring cartel subplots about building a lab (who cares), the most boring Gus has ever been and gay scams instead of courtroom kino.
>Crime doesn't pay...unless you're a woman, then your punishment is settling with a beta provider which is tantamount to living in hell
>>220534341Yeah, it's a pretty pointless show. It's only worth watching for the performances and cinematography. There's a reason why Breaking Bad is way more popular.
>>220534486vince is such a beta simp, all his female characters follow this formula
>>220534341Cause the entire point was that crime doesn't pay, that's the entire thing both BB and BCS go for. Walt only gets a relatively decent death when he redeems himself and saves Jesse and his family and avenges Hank and Gomie, before that he's left to die in New Hampshire. Jesse is forced to live in Alaska isolated from the rest of humanity or at best with a new identity and no family. Gus is dead. Mike is dead and failed in his one mission (even though it was more an excuse to go on rampages against the world). Saul in this case ends up fuckedThe moral of the story is that if Jimmy hadn't been a massive retard who wanted to be super cool and had just stayed working alongside Kim in the mailing room, nothing bad would have happened. But he had to be the man and try to become a lawyer through dirty tricks and cartel shit. He ended up bringing down everyone alongside him
>>220534341>>220534486Yep.
pfff...> crime doesn't payLooks at the governments, looks at the Epstein shit, looks at the powerful elitemaybe crime doesn't pay in fiction
>>220534535>nothing bad would have happenedNothing good would have happened either. Is the moral that losers should just accept their mediocre fate?
>>220534341Final season was shit, just like with Breaking Bad. Vince Bravo just gets lazy after the first two or three seasons.
>>220534450good QRD
Because too many years of being immersed in edgy nihilism made a man finally following his conscience look like an emasculating defeat to you. If you actually read any books, you'd probably think the protagonist of Crime and Punishment turning himself in because of a prostitute's appeal was bad too.
>>220534710>Nothing good would have happened eitherJimmy would have had a perfectly content life, getting around $40,000 a year from his starting position (not accounting for raises) which would have afforded him a very nice livelihood in New Mexico, he would have gotten married to Kim eventually, he would have retained a large number of friends, he and Chuck and Howard would still be as thick as thieves, Chuck would be happy and even able to learn charisma from Jimmy and wouldn't have ended up mentally ill, Howard would have gone higher than even his dad. Everyone is happy except the criminals who don't get a Jimmy to help them escape the law>losers should just accept their mediocre fate?Mediocre? Jimmy getting a position in the HHM mailroom is the opposite of mediocre, it's a nepo pick. Jimmy is a sex offender with literally zero education or experience who spent his entire early life scamming people on the streets for hookers and booze. Most people like that wouldn't even be able to get a job as a fucking sanitation workers, let alone mailroom clerks for a firm as important as HHM, where they'd make quite good cash. That isn't mediocrity. Jimmy had quite the highlife compared to Marco and yet he needed more because he was arrogant. Had he just been humble everyone would have benefited. Same with Walt when he could have gotten a job back at Grey Matter instead of being spiteful about his own retarded choice, and could have kept everyone happy while working in an environment he enjoys and going up the ladder.
>>220534450The first two seasons are Saul becoming Saul and courtroom kino, it's only after Chuck dies and Jimmy is stuck without his law license that it all turns into some scammer scheme slop.
>>220534341Because you're a literal soulless zoomer turd. You're inhuman, probably never had a girlfriend, or even a guy friend, and never lived a day in your life. You don't even understand what it is you're looking at the screen, because you have no context in reality to connect with.
>>220534743and now he's got lazy after the first season of his boring seehorn show, second season likely won't be here until next year or later
>>220534855Yeah I was thinking about that as I wrote my post. Season 1 of that is like watching the last season of Better Call Saul, except worse since it focuses on someone that shouldn't be a lead and only has one other character of interest in it. It also has the very worst of Vince's shit where it has full episodes where it starts on some small random object or place and the whole story of that episode wraps back around to why that object/place was at the start, and it ultimately means nothing to the overall plot of the season. Bravo Vince.
with AI we can soon make the perfect seasons 4-6
>>220534946saar
>>220534773Why do they look so fiendish?
>>220534960saul ask kim boob and vagni
>>220534341The quality of the show keeps dropping after Chuck dies. I just stop watching when he dies. It is a sufficient backstory for Saul and i won't have to suffer through hours of cartel capeshit
>crime doesn't pay!>except for walt's kids who get free college and an awesome life>and jesse too he gets to escape and live in alaska >and saul too until he arbitrarily decided to maximize his sentence to impress the girl that friendzoned himvravo vince
>nasty sex scene with the ride or die love interest getting railed by a different guyhow could you not feel kucked
>>220535630>walt's kids who get free college and an awesome lifeThey have no dad, live under a single mom (known for ruining kids' lives) in general poverty besides the gift they get, they'll be bullied and distrusted because their dad was the biggest crime lord the US has ever seen, and they may get targeted by other criminals>jesse too he gets to escape and live in alaskaNo family, no friends, his dad and mom and brother hate his guts, he's on the FBI's most wanted, he has little money that he can use, he can't go anywhere without people knowing who he isBest case scenario is nobody in the town knows who he is, he now has to live in fear that one day someone may recognize him and never go outside the village. Basically like Walt during his escape to NH>saul too until he arbitrarily decided to maximize his sentence to impress the girl that friendzoned himExcept Saul as Gene was fucking miserable working at a Cinnabun, to the point he became a criminal precisely because of his guilt and boredom. If he had gotten out of jail he'd have just been even more miserable, he at least somewhat tried to avenge Chuck and Howard and Kim, Kim now visits him sometimes and people like him in jail. He probably got the best ending for a criminal
>>220535657YEP YEP YEP
>>220535657>nastyit was supposed to be the most boring sex imaginable
>>220534341>>220534450Saul was Saul for about fifteen minutes in one episode and the rest of the show he was Jimmy or GeneI wanted a show called Better Call Saul to be about Saul so I guess that makes me dumb
>>220534486The real theming is never work with neurotic moral fags. Every bad thing that happened to Walt, was because of jessie.Sauls empire crashed also because of Jessie, but he got guilt tripped by Kim to turn himself in when he could have just lived a remotely normal life.
>>220535630his life didn't change much between working at the donut shop and working in prison, except he went from constant fear to being a prison legend. in hindsight people didn't get the ending and expected him to live it up working in some dinky law office in south america or some shit sipping a pina colada and winking to the camera while getting fanned
>>220535823Cinnabon is not a donut shop you brain damaged third worlder
>>220535738It's fucking nasty, passionless, no kissing or affection, and the guy makes stupid noises.Doesn't get nastier than that without devolving into sex slavery.
>>220535834>he doesn't recognise BRAND he must be a third worlder
>>220534341Only the gangsta scenes are kino. Saul background story is just awful.
>>220535845You don't need to recognize anything. You should already know from just watching the show
>>220535872i saw it years ago i don't remember every detail about the fucking shop you autistic nigger jesus christ
>>220535903The cinnamon buns are specifically shown in extended scenes multiple times and they are even a minor plot element. If you don't remember plot elements from things you have watched you're already halfway to being a third worlder anyway
>>220535925HAHAHAHA you can't be real
>>220535872>>220535925Not everyone is such a fat cunt that they have a passionate encyclopedic photographic memory of ultraprocessed black and white buns and pastries

>>220535960>>220535968What the fuck are you talking about? Mentally ill fat cunts. People aren't Indian just because they're not as familiar with junk pastries as you are
>>220534341I think it was the point, to show how living as a criminal at the end does not pay at allPretty much everyone involved in that kind of lifestyle in both BCS and BB are either >dead>incarcerated>on constant DEA survilleince>on the run with fake identitiesBut Jimmy could've goten away with it somehow yet he chose to let go since at the end of the day that kind of way of living is pretty empty and miserable.
What crimes did Saul commit anyways? He didn’t even launder Walt’s money, that was Skylar. He didn’t really act outside his capacity as legal counsel. What’s the charge officer? Switching out a cigarette? Giving Ted money?
>>220535998who calls any kind of random pastries "donuts" in the first place?Do you call cola "juice"?Do you call avocados "apples"?get a grip man
>>220536017Too late Jimmy... you had the chance...
>>220534819yes just become a good goy and slave away for others. never have any WILL TO POWER.
>>220535941>>220535998Some are saying that cinnabon was another character on the show
>>220536153>yes goy, murder people and join the drug empire business, that'll totally make you better than the average person and totally not give us money while you get raped in the ass in jail or shot in the back of the head
>>220536153>>220536175you are both correct
>>220536389it doesn't matter
>>220536399by that logic nothing matters
>>220535762Yes, exactly this. It's so fucking weird.Like season 4 teases Jimmy is becoming Saul, but then after Lalo visits them the 1st time and he reverts back Jimmy and spends entire season 5 being dragged around by Kim. Only after Kimmy is gone he reverts to Saul.Finale isn't terrible, clearly the point was to show Jimmy never went away, he was just suppressed, but the execution was stupid.
>>220536489They really should have wrapped the Lalo/cartel story up by the end of 6A at the latest and then spent some time showing Jimmy's transformation into Saul as he was in BB during the first half of 6B before cutting forward to the Gene time fram. Instead we got Lalo shooting Howard, Lalo's death and then one scene with Saul proper all in the space of like 2 episodes.
>>220536560Whole Lalo stuff doesn't really make sense.Like Lalo was build on the throwaway line in BB where Saul says: "Lalo didn't send you?"So, Saul believes Lalo is still alive.
>>220536600Why would Saul know Lalo is dead though? He got killed by Gus and he barely has any relationship with GusMike also has no reason to tell him beyond "he won't bother you anymore"
>>220535657which scene are you referring to? surely there is no Kim sex scene
>>220536626Saul was traumatatized by Lalo, so you'd think he would bother MIke until he said it
>>220536766Saul never talks about his traumas, he basically covers up the guilt he feels for Chuck and Howard and acts like nothing happenedSame with Kim, there's a reason he never talks about Kim to Walt and Jesse
>>220536789Men don’t have trauma
>>220534341>loved the all according to keikaku part of breaking bad>expect to see how saul became the smart lawyer like dude>here is the story about kim, here is some random cartell story, here is another story about howard. Did you know guys about mesa verde? And the ending was literally >I read a book about timemachine and jimmy will always be jimmy
>>220536629https://youtu.be/khRhbtC4Ico?t=157It's mostly offscreen. I hate it.
>>220536807YWNBAW
>>220534450when Chuck dies the show becomes unwatchable, Mike and Gus are cartoon characters
>>220536962>anon has traumaTake your pills Alice
This show is genuinely carried by the side characters. Chuck, Lalo, Kim (until they made went too hard on the she's just like Saul), and Howie carried the show. The actual prequel elements were mostly uninteresting except with Saul, but even that dragged on too much. Minor nitpick but they also hardcore fucked up when they had to swap out actors for the guy threatening Jimmy, it was so bad people even had to cope saying he was only seen as that intimidating in the moment because Gene was shitting his pants.
I went into BCS fully expecting for it to be more Breaking Bad and for me to be disappointedInstead it was different and it was much moreYou nigs need to chill out take your meds and learn to appreciate the gifts of life
>>220534341Yeah by the end you realize you could have been watching breaking bad instead and it would have actually been fun
>>220537055Breaking Bad is capeshitBetter Call Saul is plotkino
>>220537044I went into this thread expecting everyone to disagree with me and to be disappointed.Instead people rightfully shit on BCS. You retard need to chill out, take your meds and learn to appreciate things.
>>220535762In the first episode he is defending teenage boys who committed necrophilia. He fakes having an English secretary, recruits the annoying twins to commit a scam so that he can get a client. He is already sleazy from the start.
kimmy was the protagonist
>>220537076>Psychic Ninjaspic>not capeshit
>>220537329Lalo is a completely realistic psychopath and I'm not gonna listen to any slander
I'm so glad all the /bcs/ cucks fucked off back to 'eddit and now you can freely discuss how dogshit this show is
>>220537357/tv/ is a Brahmin board. Those benchods aren't welcome here.
>>220534535well that makes no sense cause saul could've easily gotten away with it and only chose not to because he was a simp cuck. so it's more like "crime doesn't pay unless you're not retarded enough to confess"
Whatever became of the military grade treadmills?
i'm also surprised (and glad) that /tv/ is having some actual discussion on how terrible bcs ended up being in the end instead of being prisoners of the moment and basedfacing for literally anything because it was the end of something they watched for a long time.everything after chuck died was unnecessary and increasingly cartoonish slop to provide "backstory" for something nobody asked for and nobody wanted. it was at least somewhat watchable in season 4 and a bit of season 5 with lalo's shenanigans carrying the fuck out of the show but those devolved into looney toons bullshit as well.season 6 was the most tensionless schlock imaginable for a show that had to kill off so many major characters. nacho died in the most cucked way imaginable because the script had given invulnerability to all other people on screen, cartoon superhero lalo got his shit rocked because he fell for gus's 15 step interdimensional chess plan where he plants a gun in the perfect spot well in advance then lures his victim perfectly there, and howard died literally just for shock value. all of the schemes against howard were forgettable cartoon shit as well, can you even remember them? and dont even get me started on how hard they fucked up the gene era episodes. recasting jeff was the final nail in the shit coffin.
>>220537549yeah that recasting was terriblethat dude looked menacing, the other one looked like a cuck
>>220537549>recasting jeffhuge, like ENORMOUS, pain in the ass when rewatching
>>220534341That's because nothing did. It's very popular now to have endings that answer nothing and pay off nothing. It's much easier to write than an actually satisfying ending, and the good goys just eat to the slop and continue to defend it, so why bother writing anything better?
i was hooked until the part were he wins saying that all he needed was to convince one member of the jury.after that, just turn off the tv, because the end is pathetic.
S1-3 were great despite the cartel shit only put in there to make the retarded part of the BrBa fanbase watch. S4 should have been the last one, wrap up the cartel story, have Jimmy go full Saul for an episode or two to appease those same retarded fans and then do all of the flash forward.
>>220537711It took me a while to realize that it was even supposed to be the same character.
>>220537549Lalo retroactively makes the other salamancas imbeciles>Oh the chicken guy our uncle has always maintained is against us? Yeah that druggy we killed 5 years ago said it wasn't him so let's just ignore as he amasses power and influence far exceeding our operation>Also let's leave our beloved uncle to rot in a nursing home for no reason lmaoLalo had Gus cornered after being in the country for a couple of weeks
>>220537812That scene at the end with Hector in Eladio's estate was stupid. They took him out of the nursing home, got him across the border, then smuggled him back north and put him back into the nursing home after that, then Tuco eventually grabbed him and took him away to that desert shack.
>>220534341it was supposed to be a 30 minute comedy not a rehash of breaking bad
>>220535657>>220535738>>220535841kinda hot watching a stuck up bitch like Kim be used like that
>>220537668looked like one, acted like one and was one. the original jeff was perfect final problem for a saul on the lam to solve: how do you take care of problems when youre in disguise and another criminal clocks you and seems like he wants to exploit you? you're in an incredibly vulnerable position considering you absolutely CANNOT go to the police, and you are totally isolated from all of the underworlders you could call on for help from your previous life. what do you do?well it turns out solving the problem is as easy as getting that menacing criminal recast into a pussy mommas boy that you effortlessly manipulate and use as an underling so you can uhhh... rip off some merchandise from a mall? bravo vince, consider my expectations subverted!
>>220537886He could have just called Mike to take care of it
>>220534341Because the show only existed to make sure you didn’t think Saul got away with anything, to give Saul his “crime doesn’t pay” ending. Because there’s a hard edict in American media that crime can’t pay. Even though crime actually pays extremely well.
Was Mike written for boomers?
>>220537968The ending wasn't to show that crime doesn't pay. They go out of their way to show exactly how Saul could've continued to weasel his way out of punishment and get away with everything, he explicitly chose not to for the sake of his own personal atonement
>>220538813Which was really lame and gay
>>220534450FpbpBetter call Saul was woke feminist trash
>>220535657Kim got his miracle whip
>>220537786i knew that was the intention but part of me wanted to believe there was going to be some galaxybrained "i drugged you so you forgot what i looked like" shit
>>220537886please don't lay it all out like thatit hurts a lot
>>220537512Does no one on this board recognize a man being redeemed, after having fucked life so hard and made so much chaos and had so much regret? It is redemption, in the only way left to Jimmy that he has. It basically parallels Walter dying on his terms, only here it's Jimmy becoming Saul again, saving someone on the courtroom one last time. It would be like Michael Jordan winning one last basketball game, and then dying.Reminds me of the ending of Flight. I've got 4 years sober, and going to jail for something you could get away with speaks volumes. Integrity is no small thing.
