>based on IRL dude and events, (but names changed to protect the not-so-innocent), so superficially sounds too boringly biographical

>one of his best character roles he truly disappears into
>John Hurt is pretty cool too as usual
>film is the very definition of 'comfy'
>excellent film about gambling addiction
>title is a reference to the casinos wanting to 'own' their high-rollers and the lengths they will go to

Mahowny is a highly trusted but gambling addicted banker, who is a relatively young rising star with his bank, managing massive corporate clients and writing himself cheques in their name to take to Atlantic City on the weekends. Epic comfiness ensues.
