That said, I'm sure people will hate this and I'm sure this will never happen, but I think Ugly Sonic should get his own spin-off film. I honestly LOVE the original design of Movie Sonic (that has now come to be known as 'Ugly Sonic'), but ONLY as yet another variant design of Sonic to add to the long list of different versions of Sonic. In fact, I have a headcanon that Ugly Sonic is now a drunk and washed-up actor who is bitter toward Movie Sonic because he believes that Movie Sonic 'stole' what he felt was his right to portray Sonic on the big screen. Furthermore, I'd love to see Ugly Sonic with a crush on Movie Amy but Movie Amy isn't interested in Ugly Sonic because Movie Amy is interested only in Movie Sonic. But Ugly Sonic's persistence in pursuing Movie Amy ends up getting Ugly Sonic put onto a sex offender registry. I would unironically love an Ugly Sonic film that was meta as fuck. It could be like Deadpool for kids but less cringe if it's done skillfully.
