It was really weird to me that he was complaining about this in his fucking anti-morgan spurlock documentary, especially since those programs haven't even existed since the 80s.I was pretty surprised when I went to rewatch it a few years ago and the "director's cut" version on youtube no longer has that section. The movie has a lot of other problems though, the anti-spurlock mcdonalds experiment is just a facade that goes away after the first half hour so he can have an endless interview with doctors advancing a fringe medical theory that high cholesterol is caused solely by inflammation, that statins don't help HCL and that a high fat diet is actually the best thing for your body. I knew I was watching propaganda rather than a serious piece when it's just his hand picked doctors explaining this theory and no one gives a counterpoint of the conventional view.

There's sort of a tradeoff with certain services that are better in those countries, I guess particularly the Nordic ones, but idk whether having a lot more disposable income is preferable.
