Now that the dust has settled, what did we think of this?

I watched in the cinema and it was kino. I suspect the reason people don't like this is because they watched on their computer instead.

sandra bullock can't act

Mid film, but the debris impact scene is ABSOLUTE kino.

had the potential to be a very good film, but it was ruined by bullock’s character
she was driving when she learned her daughter died so she started just driving all the time? what?

This was the worst movie I have ever seen.

I needed another 45 minutes of returning to the womb imagery, because I don't think he shoved it down my throat far enough.

This is definitely a movie that needs to be seen on the big screen.

It suffers a lot from both trying to feel realistic and teach some science lessons here and there, and actually not giving a shit about accuracy.
Such as how she spends the second half of the movie in this Russian flight suit which can't do EVAs
>no oxygen supply
>no temperature controls
>meant to withstand a drop in pressure, but not exposure to the vacuum, where the seals would fail
But she does absurd EVAs in it anyway, flying around with the fire extinguisher.

I guess it would have been harder for her to act and emote in a bigger bulkier EVA-capable suit, but why should that be an unsolvable problem, when she started out in one?

Shallow film with poor narrative structure. The accident happens in the beginning of the film but you already know the main character isn't in any real trouble because theres 90 more minutes left. Then they throw in some braindead evolution visual metaphor in the end after trying to cram a heartfelt message in. Mind you, the movie is mostly in real time so the protagonist going through any emotional transformation or character growth other than shock and a massive adrenaline dump in 120 minutes is unlikely.

The epitome of a 7/10 movie. Enjoyable. Forgettable.
