>>220545923I truly think that Chris Nolan KNEW casting a dark-skinned woman as Helen of Troy would get people talking about the movie, look at how it was only officially "revealed" that Lupita was actually playing the character 2 months before the release date. It's because they wanted people talking about it close enough in time to opening weekend. They could have announced it a year ago, but they deliberately did not since general audiences would have forgotten about "the outrage" by now. I agree though that Ella would have been perfect as a black Helen if that absolutely had to happen. Plus she's like 14 years younger than Lupita too.
