You can't make a Carnage movie, you can make a Spider-Man movie where Carnage is the villain. And it needs to be the sequel to a movie where Venom was the villain. Anything else just won't work, sorry.

You can absolutely make a Carnage movie. Just make a straight up horror slasher and have the POV of a regular human being being stalked by Carnage.
I just saw Hokum last night and the film does the smart thing in not needing to provide an origin or motive for the witch. Since Carnage is just shallow EXTREME 90's, you can just work around that and have the film's depth come from compelling normie characters. I mean Godzilla has that formula since Godzilla hardly has much screentime in his films.
