What did we think of Star Trek: Lower Decks?

It makes a lot of trek references, but in a way that feels like the writer's room spends half its time dredging up shut from memory alpha because they think that made them look like serious trekkies.

It was pretty badly written, had A LOT of obnoxious sex stuff and was full of memberberries but as a whole not outright offensive. I would watch it on Friday lunchtimes when I needed something to switch off to but I don't remember it ever having a good episode.The thing is the show failed from the start to be a comedy show about Lower Deckers. They were all driving the plot in what was written like Starfleet Academy instead of it being focused on the mundane comedy of life in the Federation and the little interactions between characters that gave old Trek it's charm.
