All they had to do was collapse the worm hole and stay out of the Gamma Quadrant and everything would have been okay but no they just had to go mess around in another person's world. WTF is wrong with star fleet
>>
>>220547374
>to explore strange new worlds
>to seek out new life and new civilizations
>to boldly go where no one has gone before
>>
>>220547374
Were they not trading with each other via the wormhole? That's why Deep Space 9 is like a duty free shop on the border iykyk.
>>
>>220547374
collapsing the wormhole would close the bajorans off from the celestial temple
they wouldn't allow it

I just rewatched the episode where they first come in contact with the Dominion. The Dominion point blank just asks them to stay on their side of the wormhole and Dax goes “ummmmm no, achshully we’re going to explore th gamma quadrant even if you kill Sisko”
Billions are dead
>>
>>220547580
She was just calling their bluff. Do you even Trek, brother?
>>
>>220547610
Does it matter? Had they stayed on their side of the wormhole none of that shit would have happened.
Though the wormhole only exists in the first place because the wormhole aliens are nonlinear and wanted Sisko to throw Dukat into a volcano
>>
>>220547402
>To cause unnecessary wars
>To have hundreds of thousands die
>>
>>220547374
What's more ridiculous is that the Dominion would risk their entire empire on a capturing and holding down a remote region that is solely accessible through one volatile choke point.
>>
>>220547417
Fuck the celestial temple and fuck the prophets
>>
>>220547580
What a dumb worm bitch
>>
>>220547774
They didn’t. The only reason that happened was because of the changeling virus. After the first wave of ships got deus ex machina’d they never sent any more, the entire alpha quadrant war was fought using jen’hadar and vorta grown in said quadrant
>>
>>220547774
You're right. Both sides should have fucked off and left one another alone
>>
>>220547774
They weren't risking their entire empire until they got trojan horsed via odo. They were basically just throwing excess clones and vassals they had no interest in at the alpha quadrant
>>
>>220547374
It's not real Star Trek.
>>
>>220547917
Yes it is. OS TNG DS9 VOY ENT and the original
cartoon and the os movies and TNG movies are all canon and real Star Trek everything else is garbage
>>
Even better that's exactly what the Romulans did but they were stopped via time travel shenanigans.

>>220547728
The Founders would absolutely not tolerate the solids acting independently and the Feddies had no control on what was going on with the wormhole between rando Ferengi trade missions, Bajoran fucks claiming planets and all the bullshit one-episode aliens they had arriving from the Gamma quadrant.
>>
>>220548009
Romulans were the good guys all along
>>
>>220547742
Starfleet is essentially a social program to give the “elite” (read: genetically superior and ambitious people) something to do that isn’t trying to take over the world/system/galaxy, that will also yield positive results, like killing a lot of them if anything ever gets too stagnant.

99.999% of people in the federation are just engaged in pointless hedonism until they die.
>>
>>220548009
Minefield on both sides solves that nicely

I think I can live with it.
>>

>Had they stayed on their side of the wormhole none of that shit would have happened.
The why did the Dominion invade the Alpha quadrant?
>>
>>220547988
Nigga, don't you ever put ENT on the same level as my Sisko kino.
>>
stealth /pol/shit thread. kill yourselves brownoids.
>>
>>220547374
you'd think the founders would've been happy because of all the retarded immigrants they were getting rid of, like the one episode where millions come, act completely retarded are given a free planet and basically spit on it.
>>
>>220548722
They didn’t. They allied with Cardassia and then the federation mined the wormhole which disrupted supply shipments to said ally, starting the war
>>
>>220548794
>They allied with Cardassia
I think Cardassia was more like a puppet state for them to control rather than their peer.
>>
>>220548794
Also the Dominion manipulated the Klingons into attacking Cardassia in the first place.
>>
>>220547580
>Billions are dead
Janeway used time travel to alter history and violate the temporal prime directive because her feefees told her it was bad that a few people died and Tuvok got Vulcan dementia on her watch.
Why didn't anyone use time travel to prevent the Dominion War if all it took was closing the wormhole before it was ever even discovered?
>>
>>220548743
I just did
>>
>>220548872
But if you close the wormhole you kill the prophets that live inside.
>>
>>220548749
What the fuck are you talking about
>>
>>220548917
Who cares if it saves billions. Janeway was willing to genocide the entire Borg race and not even Picard was willing to do that.
>>
>>220548837
Yeah just like Earth’s relationship with every member of the federation.
>>
>>220548989
In some ways they are even worse than the Borg
>>
>>220548872
The prophets are nonlinear and opened the wormhole to cause the war. Thus its immune to timeline hacking
>>
>>220548964
I think the prophets are worth it. The Borg has no redeeming qualities
>>
>>220547374
>just do the thing that makes the entire series not happen
midwits really think this is an own
>>
>>220548964
Picard was a bitch faggot for not genociding the Borg. He is too much of a goodie two shoes at times
>>
>>220549352
You're so fucking stupid it pisses me off.
>>
>>220548964
>Janeway was willing to genocide the entire Borg race
Good!
They're not even an actual race, they're just a bunch of kidnapped people from several worlds who might never be able to escape hell while bringing hell to others. The compassionate thing was killing them all.
>>
>>220550287
That’s like, your opinion bro
They all seem to like it
>>
>>220550328
>They all seem to like it
That episode where they crash land and remember their past lives they are horrified at what they have done and who they have become.
>>
>>220550532
Yeah and then they reform the collective again but smaller kek.
communism versus anarcho-communism
>>
>>220548274
That makes sense actually
>>
>>220550287
This. Janeway was the ultimate black pilled chud captain. If she was an admiral during the Dominion War, Starfleet would tricobalt every Dominion planet in the aptly named Beta Quadrant just in time for her coffee break.
>>
>>220551437
>Janeway blows up the Beta quadrant and not the Gamma quadrant where the Dominion actually is
women. they’re always getting lost
>>
>>220551517
kek
>>
>>220547774
What? No. You can get from the Dominion to the Federation by just flying there - it's just they're really far apart so it'd take fucking forever to do it.
>>
>>220551641
They could probably cross the distance easily with the jem hadar clones. It's inevitable
>>
>>220548274
I see Earth and humans in the Star Trek universe as a diminished species from war and either so shell-shocked or else distant from their recent history due to total destruction life is a frictionless experience. Only the intellectually gifted and disciplined (maybe 3-5%) of the population aspire to adventure and promotion. Most of the population live and die in permenant retirement otherwise. And the native population is likely dwindling every century.
>>
>>220552064
I wonder what the mirror verse's opinion is on genetically engineered humans

Starfleet Dax: I sleep
Corpo Dax: WOAH MAMA
>>
>>220553630
Dax's hairstyle in DS9 is fucking terrible 99% of the time

Terry is so much prettier with her hair down
>>
>>220547728
>Had they stayed on their side of the wormhole none of that shit would have happened.
The shape shifters would've infiltrated star fleet anyway. It's what they do.
