>>220552387yes, and i have been arguing this on here for years. 1 is a far tighter movie, zero fat at all. most effects are practical and look good, the dynamic between peter, MJ and harry feels natural and real and dafoe is far scarier than molina (though he is great as ock). 2 is too long and meanders too much with threads that go nowhere - aunt may's money troubles, peter reading poetry only for MJ to throw it in his face, etc. not to mention outright stupid shit like ock throwing a car at peter because he wanted to talk to him, then watching peter dodge said car without even looking and not concluding that the guy has superhuman abilities. the most compelling storyline in 2 is harry's spiral over norman's death, and even that was ruined in 3

What they should have done is rented an auditorium or astrodome for a few days and paid a gymnast to swing around in spidey jammys on trapezes, then CGI the buildings AROUND the real spiderman, not vice-versa. Then you would have had real world physics in the shots. It was so laughably garbage after LOTR's triumph in CIG.
