Titan A.E. has such a stupid plot twist with the ship captain who seemed like an optimistic good guy in the first half

It was really poorly marketed. They couldn't decide if it was a kids movie, or an adult action movie. They should have screened it for critics earlier too. They didn't give them time to get reviews out, and it was generally favorably reviewed.
