It's much better than the shitty dollmaker show; one of the reasons for that is it's not suffering from any "will they, won't they" crap and is instead going straight for it, filling a lot of its runtime with developing the surprisingly intelligent (archetypal) supporting cast characters. And the obvious reason is that the male lead isn't nearly as pathetic as his dollmaker counterpart, while the girl is more realistically attainable. Also has a better art style.
