What is the most insane plot twist of any movie?
I dunno, but you just gave me an incredible idea.
God, that one where the character, the whole time, was actually dreaming, or he was dead, or he was another character, or he was himself, or he was a clone, or it was his brother/sister/mother/father/child, or like he's imaging it cause he was crazy, or like he was actually gay the whole time and it was actually DEMONS the entire time.
>>220562595>somehow Palpatine returned
>>220562595I liked picrel
Old Boy
>>220563211op said insane, not dumb
>>220562595
>>220562719>IT WAS PURGATORY AND THE CHARACTERS ARE THE SEVEN DEADLY SINSThis shit is like a different version of those leftist youtubers saying everything is fascism
"us" is the first one that comes to mind
>>220563323I hated that shit so much. I was fully invested in it being a magic demonic event, and then they dropped in the most half-assed ridiculous "scifi" explanation possible.
>>220562595>>220563178absolute KINO but was it a shitpost?imagine making a whole ass romantic drama and then literally springing this as the last scenepeople in theaters had to be laughing right
>>220563378why is he dressed like a musician in that office
>the most batshit retarded plot twist in historyJust... go look up the synopsis on Wikipedia. Holy fuck.
Identity

>>220562595My brother admitted to me that he doesn't trust any of my movie picks anymore since I sat him down to watch OP's pic. He never knows when a plane is literally going to fly in out of nowhere and completely upheave the movie in an insanely retarded twist. I permanently broke him.
>>220563378If you didn't know the twist was coming I think it would be gigakino, a little funny but also very dramatic
>>220563398Watch it and find out>>220563335Rpatz is a shitposter, he definitely lol'd when he read the script.
>>220563335The real twist was that the MC was her own evil twin all alongBut it kind of falls flat since her husband and kids had literally never met the "real" Addy, if she successfully pretended to be a good and loving person for decades, is she even pretending anymore?
>>220563378What's the soundtrack for this scene? Ocean Man?
>>220563378They didn't have flat monitors like that in 2001
>>220563720>But it kind of falls flat since her husband and kids had literally never met the "real" Addy, if she successfully pretended to be a good and loving person for decades, is she even pretending anymore? That's the point of the twist, the child who escaped the became mostly normal because she grew up with love and stability, while the surface child became traumatized underground. The film is saying environment and circumstance shape people more than their genetics and bloodline. it's the classic nature versus nurture.
>>220563889Yeah, we did. Fucking retard.

>>220564311A: that looks nothing like the monitor in the movie, which is a much sleeker black oneB: that's not from the World Trade Center (here's one of the neighboring buildings, eight days after the attack)
>>220564339A: it is not sleeker. It’s thick, like lcds were in 2001.B: who the fuck cares that it’s not black? The model in that video also came in black. C: you’re a dumb nigger. It was 2001. Obviously plenty of offices would still have fat back monitors too. Flatscreen LCDs existed before the 2000s. They only started becoming common by 2001, and there absolutely were flatscreen LCDs in the towers. You stupid fuck.
>>220564524>and there absolutely were flatscreen LCDs in the towersYet you still haven't posted them yet. Curious!
>>220564588You are aware that offices were not homogenous, right? They were owned by different companies with different budgets.
>>220562595The movie where Gary Oldman plays a dwarf and then you find out he's not a little person irl and they just had him walking on his knees for the entire movie
>>220563252tsm
>>220562595>>220563178An excellent fucking movie. The twist is done so damn well, it's very slightly humourous on a 2nd or 3rd watch when you know it's coming but nobody better pretend they laughed the very first time because that's bullshit. You felt bad just like the rest of us and you stood up and clapped and yelled "KINO!"
>>220563378It's to remind you that real people with their own life stories died on that today because everyone seems to have forgotten and thinks, just because it was a different perpetrator than we initially thought, somehow no one really died and it's okay to laugh about it and elect the people who caused it.
>>220562595Probably his best performance
>>220565545Did you think he was wearing stilts for The Dark Knight or something?
>>220563889zoomer moment
>>220562595It has to be Saw. I went into it blind and it blew my mind back then. Jiggy was such a pimp for pulling that stunt
>>220563378kek I remember my older sister watching this on tv and I was just kinda lurking around the house kinda poking fun at her and her romance movies and then the movie ends and I come out and actually ask her what she thought and shes all>it turns out he was in the towers on 9/11 in the endand I lost it, that shit was unreal to my teenage mind. Truly a based twist, the movie was pretty light before that right?
>>220563484Matrix really ruined cinema
It's not a plot twist but the ending of Occult was crazy for me
>>220570783The movie was filled with melodrama about these two families living crapsack lives, with the love interest leads coming together and being happy. So the twist is super funny because you've just spent 2 hours watching some mid family drama slop from goat pattinson and some shit acting from the side characters, some drama about his bullied sister and suicide bro, and BAM he's dead. Extra funny because they do give you a couple nudges earlier in the movie, but no sane person would put it together on their own.
>>220563335A movie where inexplicable doppelgangers come into existence and they're just vile would be pretty fuckin cool.
kek I'm surprised people were so offended by Remember Me's ending, I thought the essence that everyone that was in that building had a full life was a good element, shit Roger EBert gave it 3/4 stars a rare contrarian take from him. Now that I think of it a movie with like 4 or 5 different characters lives leading up to their day in the tower on 9/11 could make a great slice of life tragedy
Every movie should just end with "and then they died in 9/11"
Predestination was pretty wild
>>220570720my gf (age 28 currently) was fucking lucky that when she saw Saw for the first time a year ago she didn't know the spoiler, not a lot of white americans that age can say they don't know the Saw twist
This one is so insane, no one can even agree to what it is
>>220571132I don't mean to bust your balls, but has she been living under a rock? I guess some people just hate horror in general and are oblivious to the entire genre, but still...
>>220563534>guy who is actually a fictional character in his son's video game plots to kill his ex-wife's new husband with the help of an imaginary gigantic yellow tuna called "Justice"Sounds kino as fuck
>>220570896That's basically the premise of thisIt's very underrated movie because it goes full Sam Raimi at the end, which I suppose is a surprising twist in its own way to someone who was accustomed to the mid '00s PG-13 horrorslop genre
>>220563378Fucking lmaooo
>Keanu Reeves is a cop investigating his partner's murder.>Ana de Armas is a woman who sees angels and is taking care of an abused little girl.>The twist is that the angels are hallucinations that Ana used to get when she was molested by her father.>Keanu's partner was a sexual deviant who raped Ana, triggering the hallucinations to come back.>Ana accidentally killed Keanu's partner in a fugue state.>Keanu decides to cover it up so the dead partner's family doesn't lose their pension and lets Ana go.>The double twist is that the abused little girl is also a hallucination of Ana as a child, implying she also killed her rapist father while in a fugue state.
>>220571202thats the point of my post, its pretty unbelievable she hadn't heard the twist but yeah she grew up a poor white girl with a mother who was anti tv and most movies, on the other hand she showed me Gooneys because my dad skipped out on those movies like that when he showed me tons of classics
