Haha yeah, isn't that a crazy plot twist?

He shot his friend because he fucked him over, offered no sympathy, and did all that in a place that would not be able to prosecute his murder.

The cat was a red herring?

Seems warranted to me

Elliot Gould was relentlessly handsome in this.

The whole movie Marlowe was adamant the guy didn't kill his wife and when the guy tells him the truth in such a flippant way and then insults him straight to his face, yeah he shoots him. He had been made a fool of.

You just want to have sex with a guy who wears suits.

This movie is hilarious. Is a fever dream parody account of events that barely resembles the original book, just like what Twins Snakes is to the original Metal Gear Solid.

Regardless of anything else, Elliott Gould was perfect for Marlowe, and i always imagine him as the character when i read Chandler.

My favorite part was when he lit a match on any surface imaginable.
