welp. it got potential but they it was all over the place
>>
>>220565161
they abandon the romance plot so fast
>>
>>220565224
of course they had to turn Colette into a "independent women who doesn't need no man"
>>
>>220565161
Comedies need popularity on streaming services (Simpsons, family guy) or oodles of awards (hacks), or both (only murders in the building).

Unfortunately DMV is CBS/Paramount and the only thing those subscribers want is their monthly dose of sheridanslop
>>
>finally have a show where it makes sense to cast a big black woman
>suspiciously absent
>>
>>220565161
Most unrealistic casting in television history. It should be 6 fat Shaniquas with long nails

"the DMV, am I right?" was a huge cultural touchstone 20 years ago, but these days you just sit in a digital queue and show up exactly on time and the whole thing takes maybe 30 minutes (that is, if you can't do the entire thing online to begin with). Elder millennials probably remember standing in 3+ hour DMV lines, but otherwise it is no longer a significant part of our lives. I mourn it, a little bit.

Black People fatigue
>>
>>220565503
I actually dont think i ever talked to anyone at a dmv who wasnt a sassy black woman. Even my driving test instructor
>>
i guess Australia is the last people in the world with actual white people
>>
>>220565161
Another random quirky workplace comedy with an ad-libbed setting? I think the world will survive.
>>
>>220565161
As always I'm just happy Tim Meadows got paid.
>>
>>220565161
Ah yes, the curse of Tim Meadows strikes again
>>
>>220565595
This, the show is decent but it would be like making a comedy about a toll phone company. It has no real relevance anymore so only ppl who lived with it would get the comedy surrounding it

Whenever I see anyone use this word I want to immediately gouge their eyes out with my thumbs

not where i live (New Jersey), you go there and weave through the countless lines like a good goy and then you cry at the final stage because you fucked up one single element thats going to require you to go home and make a new appointment, shit I tried to set up a Real ID appt and found out you have to schedule that shit like months ahead of time for some reason, how are they going to make that shit an absolute requirement to fly domestic but make it a huge chore to acquire, I ended up getting a passport ID instead

heh I was watching a handful of their music videos this morning and this was the only one I slept on

DMV sucked. The real shame is Stumble getting cancelled. It ruled and was the best new comedy show in years.
>>
>office sitcom
>teacher sitcom
>police sitcom
>community college sitcom
>local government sitcom
>newspaper sitcom
>restaurant owner sitcom
>bar owner sitcom
>doctor sitcom
>retail worker sitcom
>animal control sitcom
>dmv worker sitcom

what other profession would make a good sitcom
>>
>>220570342
Chair Company is easily the superior new comedy series
>>
>>220570417
Municipal Waste Facility sitcom. Cover the guys doing the drives and having various silly interactions with peoples garbage or the people moving the cans, aswell as the dump itself

Never understood why Tim Meadows is treated like a big deal. He was always "just another actor" to me.

The biggest role he played in my opinion is the bad guy from The Even Stevens Movie.
>>
>>220568129
came to post this
>>
>>220570525
I just like him.
>>
>>220570417
Gym or cleaning ladies who go to different homes finding weird gross shit.
>>
>>220570525
Tim Meadows is very likeable. He's a quintessential "that actor" that shows up everywhere.
>>
>>220570476
Better sitcom then.
>>
>>220570417
The good ones would be too sanitized to be appealing.
A sitcom in a shitty military barracks where everyone is just miserable stupid or a complete whore and nothing works out and then they all go home would be depression comedy kino but they'll never do it
Same with a sitcom about construction companies or a million other jobs

But they want something they can milk 10 seasons out of with shitty romance subplots while the cast is structured eternally around the dynamics of The Office.

Watch Colin from accounts
>>
>>220570618
Plus you have to take in account that he does all of this as he battles bird blindness.
>>
>>220565161
is this how the average modern workplace in a first world country look like?

grim
>>
>>220573143
In government offices, yeah. Not capitol buildings, but town offices and basic departments in basic towns.
>>
>>220570417
mexican home depot parking lot worker sitcom
