I was like I can't read this shit and went and got the cliff notes just to pass the test. We also did the Oedipus tragedies, I loved that. Homer isn't art to me, but Oedipus is high art to me. We did Gigamesh too, that was at least interesting enough to read. Besides Homer, the others I couldn't get into at all were Catcher in the Rye, the Faulkner books we did, Invisible Man, Of Mice And Men (I hear Grapes of Wrath is same way, but East of Eden is good). Probably a few others. Great Gatsby is one I don't like but force myself to stay read up on because the Roaring 20s is one of my most favorite eras
