What is the best playback speed for watching movies?
start at 3x and walk it back until you can understand the dialogue
10x
If you watch at 2x speed, you get 10 minutes of film done instead of 5 before you have to flick through your tick tocks. Try that.
>>220566460I'm a 1.25 kinda guy unless it's something where pacing makes or breaks the movie.
>>2205664601x
>>220566460Flicks: 3xMovies: 2xKinos: some 1, some 0.75
0.95x so everyone sounds a bit drunk
The true patrician choice for watching stuff you want to actually comprehend is 1.1x-1.2x max. 1.2x works better for podcasts or long form videos by someone who speaks slowly. 1.25x is too noticeable and fast for my taste but that as high as I can tolerate it 1.1-1.2x are not available.
>>220568098Subtle bait, trying to sound like you're not joking
Back in 2020 I started watching at 1.5x speed but over the last few years that started feeling slower and slower so I went to 2x and then 2.5x and then 3x and then 3.5x and then 4x and right now I watch at 4.5x speed. Youtube videos I watch at 6x speed.
As fast as possible. The faster you do it, the more movies you can watch.
>>2205664600.5×I like to savour the experience
>>220568098>>220568128He's not joking 1.1-1.2 is ideal for movies. Can go higher for some content depending on the movie/tv show.
>>220570290I wasn’t but subtle bait is indistinguishable from genuine truths. 1.1 is the top for me if I want to actually “watch” the whole thing and it’s not some form of podcast or video where the intro is just filler or beating around the bush a lot.
>>220566480>not reading subtitles at 16x speed
>>220566460zoomers are fucked in the head holy shit
I haven't really enjoyed movies since I watched Crank at 1.5x.
>>220568011For when Solaris just isn't slow enough
>>220570469Has anyone done this on crank? If not, my new project for the summer.
>>220566460Movies/TV shows at 1.5x and music/podcasts at 1.25x, that way I can consume way more content.
>>220570593>1.25x-1.5x the mindless consoomer virgin vs 1.1x1.2x the impatient busy chad
I don't mess with the speed but I do press this button every time a woman speaks
>>220570725Kek based
Make hot keys for 1.1, 1.25, 1.5, and 2x. It makes the whole experience more engaging and gets you through faster.
>>220570725the pluributton
>he doesnt pause after every frame to study its composition
>>220566460raise the speed 0.1 for every woke thing you see.DING DING DING
>>220570528Can you even focus on films on that shit without the need for compulsive masturbation?
>>220566460>1000x speed>read summary in Wikipedia >post review >make thread here>call people idiots for disagreeing with you
>>220570725Holy based.
>>220570736I wonder how often your NPC programing has you say or post the same thing during the week. I bet you'd be miserable if you had the IQ to perceive how uninteresting you truly are.
>>220570880>TRIGGERED THE NIGGERBased beyond belief
>>220568683this!no more contemplating what you've just watched, no more pondering or processing kinos, just consume one and onto the next, max speed and subtitles for max efficiency.you want to be respected by your internet peers don't you? don't you know you can only get that by having the biggest number possible on your stats? get to logging media oh zoomie or else you're literally a nobody with nothing to say!Irony over. JFC society is doomed.
If you don't watch it in 1x, you didn't watch it. We all know this. It's just funny to try to convince anons that people who aren't retarded seriously watch films at a faster or slower speed
>>2205711291.1x is nearly imperceptible
Who here had a vcr that did frame by frame and you would pause it during the Sailor Moon transformation scenes?
Watch it first at 2x speed to get an idea of what the movie is supposed to be.Then watch it at 0.5x speed to see all the details that would otherwise be impossible to notice. Then finally watch it at 1x speed to fully absorb everything the movie has to offer.
>>220570725HOOOOLYYY
>>220569724I use to do this for podcasts
