>Does everything right

>Is relentlessly punished for it

What did Vince mean by this?
>>
white mans burden
>>
Howard did nothing wrong.

if you aint cheating, you aint trying

Just like Walt, nice guys finish last.
>>

He never actually witnessed jimmy doing anything wrong, he just assumes it because chuck said so
nevertheless that's enough motivation for howard to attempt to destroy jimmy's career and prospects, then he's buthurt when jimmy does the same thing to him
>>
>>220582811
He didn’t do everything right, though. He didn’t stand up to Chuck when he was being a dick to Jimmy
>>
>>220582993
Chuck was in the right
>>
>>220582811
Maybe he like being punished. He acts christian after all.
>>
>>220582993
Chuck was an upstanding citizen and a legal savant. Howard had every reason to respect him like a second father
>>
>>220582993
Chuck, his father figure who has mentored him his whole life and who guided him through his law career and is the cofounder of their firm, is telling him his brother, a professional conman and scammer with a criminal history, is not trustworthy and Howard is apparently a piece of shit who deserves to die for trusting in his judgement and refusing to make Jimmy a partner solely based on having a license.
>>
>>220582811
Wasn't he the villain of the show?
>>
>>220583147
if that's all he did then he'd still be alive
he had a vendetta, he tried to outcon the conman and that's what got him killed
>>
>>220582811
That halo is subtle
>>
>>220583163
He's the fake villain that turns out to be an innocent victim of the fake hero who turns out to be the villain

>refusing to make Jimmy a partner solely based on having a license

haven't watched it since it ended, but didn't originally jimmy want howard to buy chuck out as partner and howard didn't the cash to do so?
if chuck is dependent on jimmy, howard could at least have got him a better car, if howard has a loyalty to chuck

It all shows how truly awful Kim is. She's the one who so desperately wanted to take him down, because she got off on it. Saul ends up worse than her in the end because he willingly gets into the meth business, but in the beginning he was just a lowly scammer and conman. It's through his relationship with Kim and her constantly egging him on and making him go further that he ultimately ends up in that kind of position. Saul tries to back out of the Howard stuff at least twice.
>>
>>220582811
That’s basically real life
>>
>>220583179
I distinctly remember he apologized to jimmy and offered him a job, and then jimmy threw a tantrum and started trying to ruin his life for no reason.

>started trying to ruin his life for no reason.
Jimmy tried to take revenge on dead Chuck by proxy
