Why is Walt aborting the Titan mission seen as cowardly? It is the only reasonable call. The other crew literally all died when they failed the landing. The only reason the mission was urgent was to beat the other crew, who is now dead. The responsible thing to do would be to abort the mission, and for both teams to start fresh, taking the time assess a safer landing profile.
