>Cristian Mungiu has come to us with FJORD, a courtroom drama involving a conservative Christian family (Romanian dad, Norwegian mom) whose kids are taken away by the famously zealot Child Protection Services of Norway. We see again Mungiu's characteristically compelling story-telling and healthy skepticism toward state power. It leaves us with a powerful drama which asks the right questions and doesn't give easy answers.
