So out of curiousity, I went to look up Mandalorian & Grogu seatings at my local theater, just to see how it was doing, and I saw this weird inconsistency. Across multiple screenings and showtimes during the weekend, even multiple in the same day, this same exact 3x3 block in this exact spot is always reserved. What could this be? Reserved seats for theater employees? Shill seats? I don't live in the middle of nowhere, but not in a city either, I just found it really bizarre. These can't be legit ticket sales right?
>>220585645This is where they put the shitty handheld camera for torrents.
lol remember when schizo fa/tv/irgins genuinely believed disney was buying all the tickets to their own movies?
>>220585765They literally are buying tickets but kk, keep fighting the good fight
>>220585645Maybe the roof leaks right there so they just don't sell those seats to avoid complaints. Maybe someone behind that block blasted a big jizzload on them. In my city, most of the Imax showing for M&G are nearly pre-sold-out, but regular theaters are not at all. Who even buys movie tickets way in advance anymore?
>>220585645why do they leave the kinoest sits for disabled fucks?its unfair
That couple in the back will have sex
>>220585765Remember when brainwashed libshits genuinely believed that the Russian government was behind negative reviews for Star Wars?
Former theater manager here. Those are known as studio seats and Disney always does do this. We book them as soon as tickets go on sale. This is why sometimes you go to the movies, and it's sold out, and there are still empty seats when the movie starts. From Into the Woods to Barbie I can confirm this for pretty much all Disney films and a few scattered features. It was mostly Disney. I remember learning about them during Rogue One.
>>220586438Confirming they are buying their own seats. Thanks anon. Were you in the /biz/ when 'Captain Marvel' was playing, and were they booking more 'muh studio seats' more than usual?
>>220585765>>220586259These are both true.Disney is buying tickets to its own movies to inflate sales figures and Russian disinfo agents are sabotaging Hollywood through online review bombs.
>>220585765They openly broadcast how they were buying their own tickets for black panther. It was part of the marketing campaign.
>>220585645Colbert tainted it with his taint.
>>220585645In my local cinema this usually indicates the seats are out of order due to someone shitting or puking or something.
>>220585645What a pitiful attempt at bringing Star Wars back. This was the biggest thing in the world at one point, by the way.
>>220585720>This is where they put the shitty handheld camera for torrents. When's the last time you've seen a camrip? They've gotten alot better lately.
Every time these gets posted for Marvel, it taps out at 400-500 million.Mando has a budget of around 167 million, so it's basically making money.
>>220585765>lol remember when schizo fa/tv/irgins genuinely believed disney was buying all the tickets to their own movies?Ha ha yeah
Yes Disney buys up their own tickets
>>220588279No, they fucked up by making mandalorian season 2 mostly ads for other shows and ending with breaking up the lone wolf and cub thing they chanced into. That, at best, is a last ditch gays-as-a-criticism-shield attempt and has nothing to do with why there’s no interest in a mandalorian “movie” that is just the fourth (actually fifth) season compressed into a movie
>>220590033accidentally downloaded one like a month ago and the audio alone makes them unwatchable
>>220585645I thought th thumbnail was a word game show. I don't watch them though because they're too hard
>>220585645AAaaahHHHHhh, it's a conspiracy! Kids can't want to see Star Wars because it's not the correct Star Wars! Nooooo!
>>220586438Are you going to explain what studio seats are
>>220585645This is where I do sex
>>220588130If I was a foreign power hostile to the US I would encourage as much demoralizing wokeshit as possible
>>220591874Putin was paying pajeets to play both sides of the culture wars. Reminder time and again it's always Indian flags behind every controversial twatter posts.
>>220585765LEAVE THE BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY ALONE
Every theater does this. They have some seats that aren't available to buy online, usually for some logistical purpose. Mine always reserves 6 seats at the furthest back for latecomers or disabled people.
