One of the telltale signs of a true patrician is that he prefers Terminator 1 over its sequel.
>>
true, it's more quotable then the sequel
>I'll be back
>come with me if you want to live

Used to prefer Judgement Day as a kid and it's still one of the greatest action movies ever. As an adult I much prefer the first one, everything looks and feels darker, dirtier and more serious.

T2 is wonderful, but T1 is downright otherworldly. One of the most atmospheric films I've ever seen, and Kyle Reese lends an intensity to it which the sequel never quite matches.

Stfu you fucking geek

I also prefer Mad Max 1 to The Road Warrior.

The Terminator is an almost perfect movie
the makeup in the self-repairing scene keeps if from being 100%, but it is still excellent

>makeup in the self-repair scene
Never had an issue with it personally, though I'm not exactly a makeup afficiando who could find faults with it. Is there anything I should specifically look for in the scene when I rewatch it? To me the most jarring part was after the terminator went full robot skeleton and had those stop motion inserts in the factory sequence. They just looked goofy as fuck.

it's just very obviously a maquette/animatronic head instead of actually arnold
a robot moving in a robotic fashion is less jarring than trying to pass off a fake head as a real head

I've always loved that; there's something really eerie and unsettling about the stop-motion in that chase, just so uncanny, but in a good way.

OP is based.
The first season of "Sarah Connor Chronicles" is the T2 remake and superior to it in every way.
Pity the second season didn't find an editor. Shirley Manson was good but couldn't save it alone

This is a good thread

Does it have a proper ending?
Is it better than Salvation?

she's garbage
