They fucked Hamill's character in the ass and I thought he'd be like - different from everyhting in the sequels. Naive of me. No movie with a Woman as a main character was ever good for anything besides jerking off to it - unless You're a woman, then I suppose You could enjoy it.

I find it hard to believe that someone would have gotten that far in the prequels and not seen Revenge. Everyone was talking about that movie and gaslighting each other into thinking that it was the best movie of the trilogy.

I've noticed a lot of people say that was the last one they saw. It was the last one I saw too. I also hated the animal rights thing, which is saying something because I'm a vegan. Turns out, we want more than a PSA on being a better person when it comes to Star Wars. The arena execution scene in Attack of the Clones was better animal rights promotion than the Last Jedi.

I don't think he liked it very much because he never went to see any of the other Disney ones. He also never watched the prequels, so his Star Wars memories were all from the originals and I think that's why he was interested in The Force Awakens in the first place. He was definitely interested in the original cast members coming back at the time.

Everything from Anakin and Padme arriving at Geonosis to the three-part lightsaber duel at the end is good. It even had one of the better epilogues out of any Star Wars movie with the star destroyers taking off. Specifically, them getting caught in the factory, the execution scene with the giant monsters, the jedi fighting the droids, the outbreak of the clone wars, and then the lightsaber duel, the way we follow Tyrannous through the gritty and industrial side of Coruscant for the reveal that he's working with Sidious, Yoda declaring that the clone wars have begin, and Anakin and Padme getting married. It's basically perfect. The only problem I can find with that is that the clones were CGI, and that's just a cosmetic detail.

We liked to watch lasers just as we like them at the disco party's but that's it. Cool lightsaber duels were no more fun than dancing on the floor.

That's the enitre thing.
You can climax (not to sound like a masturbating girl) with Old Ben talking about the past.
You can feel the power when Vader reprimends his officer "don't fail me again *finger point* Admiral - music tones in".
You can feel the Force when Yoda talks to look >"surrounds us - and binds us"
You can feel the imminent death if You're staring at a Bounty Hunter saying "Put Capt'n Solo in the Cargo Hold"

star wars is all about dialogues - however, OT is like classical music and PreQuels are a POP.
Two different types of people like it - two different types of people were binded to the same "STAR WARS" logo and that's the problem. These movies should never exist in the same universe.
This should be two different franchises.
OT is like star trek while prequels are like Marvel.

Wound up just cancelling the tickets on my phone as my wife drove us home. I was pissed while pissing out my butt.

Anon, he was on Tattooine.
He ruled one palace.
Luke had no idea of this slug - nor his influience was ever seen in Mos Eisley - or the Jawa trade routes - or any Imperial naver made a remark about it.
Your statement makes sense only if You watch the Special Editions that make Jabba appear in a deleted scene, and make Boba Fett his personal bitch, and also You'd have to watch the Phantom Menace which makes Jabba look like he was rulling Entire Tatooine for millenias kek - wtf was that pod race scene? A Gangster in a VIP lounge in public - and as you said he wouldn't be unchallenged?
He could fortify in his palace - as you can see when C-3P0 enters the gate... sealed IRON doors with only a little peephole, and guards at every corner. You could challenge Jabba in a deleted scene or in the prequels, but in OT - hardly ever - he was supposed to be not a Don Corleone but a drug dealer that hires bounties, more like a Virgil Solozzo. Powerful only when others help him, or bought by his drug-trade wealth.

Not necesairyly as he's on some desert backwater planet with little to no population outside the toursits and smugglers there.
Most of the drug trade was on Nal Hutta and Nar Shadda, where the real hot seats were, well ... seated.
it is also possible that he in fact would've made no sense in reality and that was just a director's methaphor.

I like both. I didn't think there was any real difference between the prequels and the original trilogy as a kid despite the original trilogy being older. I think the original trilogy is stronger for the reasons that you mentioned, but the prequels had their own strengths.

The tension and anxiety that is conveyed by seeing an exhausted Qui-Gon go up against Darth Maul on his own is palpable, and seeing an enraged Obi-Wan go up against him is very cathartic. I still get a quick shot of anger when I see Qui-Gon get stabbed by Maul. It's emotional because you know that Anakin needs him. He's the only one who seems to actually believe in Anakin while all the other jedi jut begrudgingly tolerate him, so it's painful to see him get killed like that. Darth Maul's nonchalant twirl after stabbing him like it was nothing and the way he stares Obi-Wan down while waiting for the laser gates to open so that he can kill him too make Maul especially detestable. George Lucas did a great job at making Maul as detestable as possible with that scene. So if you want to look at it solely from an emotional perspective, there is stuff in that trilogy that's as strong as the things you mentioned with the original trilogy.
>>
>>220593154
It was a cool series of missions where the alliance was in deep shit, low on supplies and in hiding. The conventional navy couldnt find them so tasked a research hybrid droid division to find them and they were really powerful tie fighters with the mk4 being and ultra fast heavily armored suicide drones they would send wave at rebel cruisers to 360 no scope them. The alliance finally realizes the transporta that brought them were just holding pilots for the drones and if you killed the transporta, you killed the pilots which killed the experimental tie fighters. Then you find the research base working on the drones and you blow it up after stealing all the data which reveals some information about the second death star by uncovering intense supply chain issues due to its construction.

The biggest problem with Attack of the Clones is that it made it so that you can block force lightning with a lightsaber. It makes that power look so useless because you're relying on the victim not having a lightsaber. Now, Palpatine was only able to electrocute Luke because Luke had thrown his lightsaber away. It also became so overused thanks to that. You should have only seen it in episode VI and Palpatine should have been the only one who used it.
