In short, nothing really happened? Like on the casino planet, nobody really gave a shit who was running things anyway, that's the central message of the whole sequel trilogy. I guess you could say there's a giant power vacuum between not having the empire or any "rebels". But again, the central point is people didn't really give a shit and the real strings were pulled elsewhere. So I guess the answer is nobody cares what those jerkoffs do in the movies, if you're not actively getting oppressed which seems to be happening mostly on backwater shithole planets.

Star Wars is dead. Disney completely mishandled and killed it like an alcoholic step-parent. But because it cost them $4 billion they dragged the body and buried it in the Pet Sematary. And now they're parading this zombie as Star Wars. But everyone can see it isn't. It's just a macabre travesty. Somebody needs to stop them before they ruin the Disney brand by association as well.
