Pretending you’re a badass character in a sci-fi or war movie to breeze over being a gay family annihilator and withdrawing from heroin is fucking based and no i am not kidding

This. I love this dudes books. Totally degenerate but in a good way.

Same, im reading through them now. Nova Express is fucking crazy and it blew my mind to realize the technician’s radar screen is an X-ray, he’s an X-ray technician looking at Burroughs’ X-ray after he withdrew from heroin on an airplane as Pilot K9, and the personnel decimated is Burroughs’ self. It was impossible to estimate the damage (makes Western Lands the darkest book of all fucking time)

I read Naked Lunch, the book, when I was fourteen. The movie's alright, but it doesn't really capture the feel. It's not bad but it's too drab, too brown, too coherent.

Yes actually the movie kind of sucks for a couple of reasons and it could easily have been just called ‘Queer’

Yes he was based, someone should try making the red night trilogy into a movie

Sopranosheads should be in here too

Sort of a film idea loosely suggested by a sci fi book
