If you think your place or village or area has a "cool" name, you'd be shocked that when translated it probably means something like "North Hill" or even "Hill Hill" because the name is just "hill" in two different languages combined.Or monsters/demons being literally named "bad thing" or "evil man" or whatever in a language and it just stuck.Names of nobles work similarly. Everyone wants to be like the big great great great daddy who created the family so they all name themselves after them. So when he was writing for Elden Ring you have OG Godfrey, but then you have Godrick, Godefroy etc. because it's the equivalent of someone making an xXxAngelSlayer666xXx nickname on XBOX.
