1 Day until the normalfags curse this shitshow into oblivion
>>220598822Only normies watch this drivel to begin with.
I genuinely hope Seth Rogen dies in a car crash. He's a blight.
When was the last time a normie show ended and people were satisfied with the endingNobody can write any more
>>220598849BrBa I guess.
>>220598897People still shit on the whole machine gun business
Redditors already hating on it after praising it for years
>>220598822If the leaks are true most people will walk away thinking it was an okay show.
>>220598822It will be memoryholed hard like GoT but unlike it no one will care about any spin-off they may do, because the worldbuilding is fundamentally shit.
>>220599009>memoryholed hard like GoTwat. GOT's ending is still considered the worst show ending of all time, how was it memoryholed?
>>220598822I have never watched The Boys. Should I watch it?
Has a tv show mindbroke /tv/ more than this one? I can't think of one. Even Euphoria is less hated here.
>>220599224>mfw anons here expected a capeshit series and got satire and dick jokes instead.
time to go back to being a sopranos board
kike writers
>>220598846Have him be driving it alongside Kripke while you're at it.
>>220599224euphoria is really good and this show totally sucks, is one reason
>>220598849I have a theory that the first season of a prestige streaming show is written by industry veterans. People who have been writing professionally for decades. But those writers are expensive. So once a show develops a fanbase, all the vets are thrown out and a bunch of dopes straight out of film school are brought in. This new generation of writers have been living on easy mode. They never struggled or met someone with a different perspective. And they were all raised by algorithms. So that’s why most streaming shows fall off a cliff after the second season.TL;DR studios save money by bringing on clueless nepo baby writers to write finales.
>>220599740That's mostly true actually. You have to pay people more after the second season of a thing, which is why most series get a different kind of feeling series around that time usually.
>>220599740It's not just about saving money. It's also about complying with internal "diversity" policies within the organization.
>>220598822I hope it's so bad it kills off all the spin offs. Although I thought GoT shitshow would do that and they keep churning the slop out (I've heard Knight of Seven Kingdoms is good but the point stands)
>>220598946Why? It works, mythbusters and all that.
>>220598849Sopranos ending was fine if you weren't retarded. It only perplexed or frustrated the most low-IQ viewers.
>>220599298The satire is asinine. It totally falls flat as political parody and the 'shock' shit wouldn't even shock me mum.
This shit hasn't been good since S1 but normies are only now realizing it
>>220600097I still can't believe there was controversy over the ending>tony knows an indictment is coming>he also knows there's a hit on him>constantly looking at the door while waiting for familyending implies 1 of 2 things, either>tony gets wacked right there>tony lives but is now going to be paranoid and looking over his shoulder for the rest of his lifehow was this hard for 2007 normies to understand?
I'm not gonna lie, I have a hard time watching the final season with Annie lookie like a big troll. I can't listen to anything she says I'm just overwhelminglybpreoccupued with how fucked up her face looks. If it's some disease, then I feel sorry for her but if she actually bogged herself I've gotta ask why. She was cuteness personified. But even if it was a disease, you gotta figure, you get into a 100% looks-based business like acting, Rule #1 is you're only as good as you look. Looks are everything, it's your raison d'etre. Like Hyman Roth said, "this is the business we've CHOSEN".
>>220599740I don't think its 100% that but youre probably not far off.Think of it like a rookie contract in sports. When youre a rookie, a team can sign you for peanuts because you're "unproven" and have no leverage. Then if it happens that you're an absolute stud, you're able to demand considerably more, get potential suitors who could meet those demands, etc. The weight of leverage shifts towards the individual because of their performance.I figure its not too far off from writing contracts. You write an absolute hit that makes the studio bank, and youre able to demand higher pay, and many studios are so cheap theyll just go nah fuck off we'll just get chatgpt to do it.
>>220600097Sopranos isn't a normie show
>>220600194Bobby's monologue in the second to last episode slaps you across the face with the only plausible interpretation. >At the end, you probably don't hear anything, everything just goes black
>>220600260It absolutely was 25 years ago. Because there's enough violence and funny ayys and ohs to keep a casual viewer entertained, a lot of retards enjoyed it on a much more shallow level.
>>220600197It's been a rough decade. Also holy fuck it's been a decade.
>>220599653season 3 of euphoria has been pretty goodat least the rue stuff has
>>220598849to be fair the Boys comic was fucking shit toothe other adult cartoon capeslop of Invincible should at least have a reasonably satisfying ending, the Boys was always doomed
>>220600080It was kind of a dumb plan with too many variables. The only reason they did it, was because the machine gun had to show up since they showed it in the beginning of the season.
>>220600260>Sopranos isn't a normie showThe finale had 12 million people watching it you stupid zoomer.
>>220600197She does have Graves disease and people use it to defend her looks but how she looks isn't at all consistent with Graves symptoms. She either bogged out willingly or had a kneejerk reaction and tried to cover up any symptoms with plastic surgery, bad and stupid either way.
>>220600378Boys comic had a decent ending, if we don't count Homelander's last bits as part of the ending.
>>220599740you're half rightit's more the fact that the long waits between renewals now means it's impossible to maintain a stable writer's roomback when shows were 24 episodes a season and shot for 8 months a year, they'd get the renewal order while the season was airing and after a short break everyone would come back to work on the next season because it was a predictable schedule, and writers only left if they found a better gig now that streamers only order 6-8 episodes and wait until the season has finished airing before deciding to order more, it could be 8 months after the writers on the previous season finished their work before they know if the show is coming back, meaning most of them have already moved on to new projects in order to pay bills, meaning a near 100% staff turnover between each season besides the showrunner
>>220599169no, there really isn't a reason toI'd probably watch Banshee insteadfor anyone who hasn't seen it, the guy who plays Homelander was great in that show
>>220600454I've only seen the pilot where he mangles some dude's arm and then fuckes some random woman with her tits out. I'm guessing that's just bait for the rest of the series.
>>220599169no, it's Reddit: The Showgoes out of its way to subvert male expectations like having no sex appeal aimed at them, while having tons of male nuditythey only have the budget for like 4 episodes but they make 8 per season so large amounts of episodes are just them standing around in warehouses and barely dressed setsthen after the 3rd season they basically rewrite Homelander to be Trump The Fascist Superhero and it went down even worse from there
>>220600655no, it was pretty much like that all the way through
>>220600454If either Homelander or Butcher was played by anyone else then the show would have crashed and burned harder than the Tick. Starr and Urban make the series, the rest is just kind of going along for the ride.
>>220601033Definitely agree with this, you can swap out any of the other actors and it wouldn't have mattered.
>>220599307Just rewatched it. Feel like most of what I've watched for the last 10 years has been rewatching stuff
>>220599169Season 1 was great and starts off really strong, but it quickly gets extremely Jewish
>>220598822They already are and have been predicting a GoT crash
>>220598849Maybe Sopranoes or Mad Men. I seem to remember universal acclaim and shouts of Brava when Mad Men ended.
>>220599169>>220600454Banshee, Justified, Spartacus are some good alternatives
>>220600397>Graves disease>makes you look like a decaying corpsebravoravo
