It's the best ninja movie (not) made. It's set in '80s Osaka. Two ninja trainee friends kill some yakuza goons by self-defense. But the yakuza is actually run by Japanese ninja cult. The other kid gets PTSD while the other descend more into sociopathy. It's like Unforgiven in a way, complete dumb 80s action film but its executed very serious and straight. These "heroes" go and kill people and it changes them for good and worse. My idea is that it would be shot like those japanese commercials, very colorful and striking editing, but in the end it begins to look more of a samurai movie of the 60s.
