You can clearly see the degeneracy bullshit from episode 0 but it is a much darker show that is filmed like a movie instead of a telanovela. I knew it was bad but I didn't realize just how pathetic the show has become with its limited sets and whatnot. Hell having 30 extras in that room for the homelander is God video was the most they've had in an area for more than a brief shot in the whole season. Kinda crazy.

Season five feels so tiny in scope. We never see how the average person is affected by Homelander's orders. Just one work camp in the first episode. Also characters just waltz into protected buildings with no security.
