this movie has so many faults, weak characters, no charisma protagonist etc, but ive seen this movie about 5 times, and even though i understand technically how the plot evolves and twists, in the moment you're watching forward and reverse time set pieces it is genuinely mind bending every time, even when you understand it you dont understand what the fuck is going on, truly mind bending stuff. underrated flick
>>
>mind bending
No, it just doesn't make logical sense, and whenever people call that out, projecting pseuds just insist you're too dumb to understand it because they think THEY are just too dumb to understand it and assume you are the same.

you don't understand it because it makes no sense. who put the bullets inside the wall in the forward timeline?

the scene at the end with bobby gives me the feels

it doesnt matter if it doesnt make sense, the movie is good enough for you to immerse yourself and get baffled by the action, like the forward/reverse car chase in estonia is amazing, doesnt matter how many times you watch it it makes you go what the fuck
>>
I think it makes sense overall but it's just boring the way it's told. Like a lot of times we see the same action twice, once forwards and then backwards or vice versa.
I'm sure it was exciting on paper but not every weird concept on paper translates to the screen.

Agreed. To be honest, everyone was decent acting wise, except from the villain guy. That guy never felt like the evil mob boss Nolan was trying to sell to us. Besides, the star of the movie was the time shenanigans. I think Nolan is better off making experimental movies like Tenet or Inception, rather than historic or fictional epics

I really lost interest after the middle. The movie just insisted on being "balanced" and having a whole hour after it gets to it's "middle" . I got what it was going to do at that point. It felt so long cause it was predictable.

>fire in reverse is ice
bravo Nolan

I would largely agree with your sentiment is it were not for the ABYSMAL ending sequence with the battle. What the absolute fuck is going on? It is genuinely baffling to me that anyone let that shit hit theaters. And I don’t just mean it’s a shit show conceptually (although it is that). It is so horrendously shot and scripted, it genuinely looks like they are shooting at NOTHING. It looks like some kids filmed a “war movie” at a paintball course. It is by far one of the worst action set pieces of all time and I am surprised it doesn’t get more flak for it.
