>>220603616>Star Wars killerWhat is dead can never die
>>220603616The same pissbabies that never stop whining about Star Wars are just going to whine about this, too. It's the same generation of kids born in the 70s. Nobody bitches more than 50-year old manbabies. The older manbabies get, the more angry and pathetic and insatiable they become.
>>220604071I don't agree with their fixation on lore and unwillingness or inability to hand off a franchise to new generations of teenage boys but that still leaves the unmistakeable fingerprints of feminist theory all over these male-skewing franchises. The proper consideration paid to both feminist and female sensibilities in these projects is zero. None whatsoever.
>>220603616Who watched this? My sister wouldnt because the guy wasnt hot enough
>>220603616I still think He Man is not buffed enough. Actor needed to be bigger.
>>220603616should've had more skin shown from females too
I would go see it, but no movie seems to stay in theaters for more than two weeks. By the time it hits streaming, I find that I lose all interest in any movie.
>>220604306>my beloved franchisesliterally no piece of media from the He-Man IP was ever good. The cartoon sucked, the first movie sucked, every reboot sucked. The only thing that was mildly cool was the toys
It looks fucking solid.(PROS)> Skeletor looks 99% perfect, blue skin is faintly rubbery but it's a microscopic nitpick. I am profoundly grateful they are giving him a ura of genuine menace.> Skeletor's voice seems good especially his first line. Does not sound like Leto nor seems like he is trying to mimic any prior incarnation which is probably for the best.> Has a look/vibe similar to Thor Ragnarok BUT without the vile cringe parody humor or cheapness (fuck Taika Waititi to hell)> Tonally seems exactly what I was hoping for, fantastical and fun but not silly and takes the threats and situation seriously.> Very Good Music.> 2nd trailer seemed to confirm that He-Man won't just be transformed at the very end.> He-Man remembers everything and isn't going to be a fish out of water> 2nd trailer sold me on the actor playing He-Man. He seems dignified and isn't being mocked/belittled.(MIXED ELEMENTS)> Teela Pros: redhead, very sexy, not afraid to get in shape, she seems likable (see her big smile in the first trailer after Adam laughs) a biblical contrast from the insufferable Revelations Teela.> Teela Cons: Outfit is not bad but is prudish and the weakest adaption of any character design in the film we have seen so far.> Man At Arms Cons: Race Swap.> Man At Arms Pros: Outfit is decent, Idris Elba is the best casting possible if they had to race swap. He seems to have some legit bonding with He-Man and isn't just lecturing or browbeating him.(POTENTIAL CONS & CONCERNS)> The meta elements with He-Man statues in the store.> Amount of time on earth.> The line from the creators about Skeletor & toxic masculinity.> The film theoretically having far more humor than the trailers.
>>220605215>(PROS)add>directed by Travis Knight
>>220605051Irrelevant. Keep the academic feminist culture war shit out.
>>220604071I was going to say the same. Who is even a fan of hegman except old men? I'm 40 and it was old even when I was a kid.
>>220604071TRVKE
>>220605215>skeletor's voice seems good
>>220603616>The Star Wars killerThat's not much of an accomplishment.
>>220603616Are they releasing new toys for manchildren?
Are we getting it?
