>women don’t know how to wri-
>>220607330>one book in 196 yearsWhat have women done since then?
>>220607359It's debatable whether she even wrote it.
ghostwritten by her husband, look into it
>>220607359>>220607374why are moids like this?
>>220607359Moomins
>>220607330>creates literary science fiction in your pathNothing personnel, "men."
>>220607378>it was the husband!>no, it was Byron! Both proven false, cry more.
>>220607454It was Francis Bacon
no woman has ever written a good book. her husband wrote this.
>>220607454>Both proven false, cry more. Not true. It is incontrovertible that her husband had a significant hand in editing the novel. But yes, to say that he 'wrote it' is an overstatement, just as saying he had nothing to do with it. He was, without argument, the novel's editor - to what extent is uncertain.
>>220607502Every fucking novel ever written had an editor. Yet you only single this one out because you want to diminish the works of a woman
>>220607502bro listen to yourself. no she did not write it. women are unable to be creative they're like jews. they can only corrupt.
>>220607533I single this one out because it's the novel we're discussing. Why would I talk about any other source text of a film but this one in this thread?
>>220607498what about Harry Potter
>>220607330
>>220607539Especially you're mother
Women, in general, don't know how to write.
>Improves the Illiad in your pathHow did she do it?
women truly are the niggers of the world
MOGGED by Le Guin>>220607571also this
>>220607330Nobody has ever said women can't write, retard. There were and are interesting female authors here and there. Jane Eyre is one of my favorite books. At least back them they were truly talented, now they're all astroturfed and pushed by the industry when all they can write is porn and YA.
>Makes the best translation for the foundational cornerstone of western literature
>>220607330Frankenstein is maybe the worst “classic” so it being written by a woman is fitting
>>220607986>reading the odyssey in english Might as well read the divine comedy in jamaican ebonics.
>>220607539>NnOOOoooOOoo women bad!Why?>t-they just are ok?? DA JOOOOOOS
>>220607359>Harry Potter>Hunger Games>Twilight >Anne Rice vampire shitThose all are extremely successful franchises
>>220607539>chud can only twist and pervert a Tolkien quote instead of creating something newPredictable.
>>220607359Retard>>220610161>all that fucking slopGrim
>>220607330-ng me dry
>>220607359>>220607397>>220607374
>>220607610I generally agree but I really like Emily Dickinson and Sylvia Plath and some lady songwriters, how do you feel about female writers that aren't novelists or screenwriters?
>>220607330I fucking hated this book because I couldn't get past the premise. Like the guy goes to uni for one semester then just throws together some shit and creates reanimated, intelligent, powerful life. Like it's so incongruent with the rest of the world. If you really did that, you'd just think, oh the first one ran off whatever fuck it I've literally just made myself into a god. You need a fucking Elizabeth Holmes level of suspension of disbelief to read this.
>>220614421Do you like having autism?
>>220607330This books was really boring though...but I guess Hollywood ruined me, i was expecting a thrill novel of some sort. I don't really understand why this book got so much praise and popularity.
>>220612368An editor could totally be called a minor collaborated. No idea about this post but the blurb seems like a dumb bitch splitting hairs
>>220607374>It's debatable whether she even wrote it.The first chapters in the arctic or wherever, (it has been years since I read it), where distinctly different in writing style then the main bulk of the book. The early chapters represent the zeitgeist of the romantic period writing style. The bulk of the book has much worse writing. This wasn’t a gradual decline, like a number of books have, where the author just becomes lazy, or tired, and stops focusing on the detailed writing found in earlier chapters. Also, the “scientific descriptions” in the book were shit. It would not surprise me if Percy Shelley wrote much of those early chapters, and Mary Shelley took over for the bulk of the book.
>>220607330>women don’t know how to wri-Agatha Christie or Margery Allingham are better examples of British Women writers.
>>220607330They have this, Harry potter, American psycho, the good uncharteds and parts of ffxivMen have everything else
>>220614646>A woman wrote peak Nathan Drake I always forget this. He doesn't seem like a dude written by a woman, so good for her
>>220614646Wait I forgot one, Jahy sama won't be discouraged
>>220614528he was an adventurer and poet, he wrote a lot of purple prose and especially the landscape naturalism
>>220614646You forgot the Barbie movie. That shit was actually kino
>>220614646American Psycho was written by a man you goofball.
>>220614497You have to remember it was published in the early 19th century
>>220607498george eliot mogs your favorite authorfaggot
>>220607330I read this recently and it struck me as odd that Victor had so many woman moments for being a man. Definitely a male character written by a woman.
>>220616172Men back then were sissies that’s why
>>220615882I also read Hunchback of Norte Dame and enjoyed that book though, it was same century, and it was nothing like the Didney movie.
>>220610161Yes, commercial success, but they fucking suck.>>220607359Middlemarch and The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. I also read a Donna Tart book that wasn't bad, though the name escapes me and I can't seem to find it right now. George Eliot was a genius, though. Middlemarch is one of the best novels to come out of Britain. Fun fact: she used a man's pseudonym because she believed that women wrote absolute slop and did not want to be associated with them
>>220607330Women can write. It's just that in 95% of the cases what they find interesting to write about (be it subject or approach) it's just not interesting to men.The opposite is true, I guess
>>220607583It fucking sucks.
>>220607571Do you honestly think Potter is a good book?
>>220615806lmao no it was shitStrange Days by Kathryn Bigelow is an actual good movie directed by a woman
>>220607374There’s not really any debate. The manuscripts survived and they are in her handwriting
>>220616531Nah, sorry. It was written by Shelley and he gave it to Mary as he knew he was dying, that it was the only way he could leave her anything as there was no copyright law and he was at least a bit sorry for being a piece of shit. It is so obviously written by Shelley you'd have to be fucking retarded to think otherwise, Mary transcribed it you fucking baboon, that's why it's in her handwriting. She lives a long life after than and never writes anything remotely similar while Frankenstein was literally the life story of Shelly and his love for Byron.
>>220617035I know you’re trolling but for anyone else reading this thread who’s interested, the manuscripts also have Shelley’s extensive notes and corrections. He was a much better editor than a writer.
>>220607419Real answer.
>>220610161Not an ounce of literary or artistic merit in any of those. That you even mentioned Twilight shows just how hard you have to scrape the bottom of the barrel for any notable works by women
>>220617825Whatever you do don’t look up how many of those murderers and rapists were raised by single mothers
>>220617825>women commit all the infanticides>men bad
>>220618169And yet women keep fucking the deadbeats. Curious.
>>220607359you ever read you some superfudge? That mess is wild
>>220607359satisfy my cock
>>220607478the typing tutor?????
>>220616401basedStrange Days is great
>>220618263Yep
>>220607583The gimmick got really old really fucking quickly and was outshined by the far more interesting generic rpg world and generic story.
>>220618197ergo they're nigger(men)lovers
