>so yeah, this is the matrix. Hope this answers your question. BTW, you can't go back now and are stuck hiding underground from killer robots and living in a room no bigger than a prison cell. Even though you are now in the real world, you will never see "real" sunlight or eat "real" food btw. Your unpaid shift starts tomorrow. What a piece of shit. If you pulled me out of 1999 New York as a chad looking software developer to live in this Zion hell hole, yeah I'm thinking I would slit your throat while you were plugged in.
you realize that means they would never pull you out in the first place right
If you wanted to break out the first time, you’d do it again after having your memories wiped of the real world
>>220607707>being a bluepiller
>>220607921Being a redpiller is being an edgy retard. You gain nothing from being "in the real world".
>>220607707Sorry but he did give Neo a choice. If Neo wanted to be another matrix normal he should have taken the blue pill. Cypher claims Morpheus was the one who deceived them but all he did was offer them the opportunity, never said it was going to be easy.
>>220607727They pulled out Cypher and he tried to merc Morpheus.
>>220607970you're a pussy who wants to self medicate and hide from reality, you might as well just hop on fentanyl right now and go the whole distance
>>220608023Solid bait.
>>220607983>I hid all the crucial information of how everything is from you on purpose until you couldn't go back, but I gave you a choice.
>>220608023>Just experience this hell world without the respite of getting high. Fuck off chud.
>>220608007Yeah and how fucking well did that work for him lol
>>220608065Of course he held back. How the fuck do you explain to someone that the world they know a lie without showing them? He couldn’t do that until Neo was unplugged. Keep in mind redpills all subconsciously know this shit is fake, he just couldn’t contextualize it. Of course he wanted to know.
>>220608092That’s besides the point. My point was that they pulled him out. This contradicted your argument.
>>220608120Neo already "popped" and said he wanted "outta this place" the moment Morpheus showed him the surface world. I could bet it would be just too much for any redpill to handle at once.
>EAT THE SLOP>WEAR THE RAGS>LIVE IN A POD>RAVE WITH POC>AND YOU WILL BE FREE AND HAPPYI'd fucking carve him up for conning me in taking the red pill
ok i'll bite: what is humanity's end game? I mean seriously, the war was lost hundreds of years before they were born. the biosphere of earth has totally collapsed. even if they defeated all the machines and freed everyone what would be the next move? live underground until we go extinct? the matrix at least provides life support for objectively more persons than zion or cities like it ever could. no disease, no war, no pedos actually raping kids (i guess it could be simulated). i just dont see an advantage to not being plugged in on that cursed earth... other than "muh freedom"
>>220608194Zion is the leftist wet dream. When they rail against contemporary society and ascribe all its faults and ills to late stage capitalism this is the paradise they envision as an alternative. You vill live in a caveYou vill work for gratisYou vill rave with ze brownsYou vill racemixAnd you vill be happy.
>>220608065Unfortunately there's no way to tell you what the Matrix is.... you have to see it for yourself.
>>220608156they pulled him out because the oracle told them to.
>>220608194>what is humanity's end game?Healing the Earth? There must be some plants around for food, the goal of Humanity outside the Matrix would be to build up their industires, look for ways to get rid of the nanoparticles blocking the sun. Maybe there are seed vaults around that could be used to replant the environment after.
the brown romanticism for being cattle/resources is seated in how their current status is trash, and they'd never throw away that upgrade if offered.they are the enemy of humanity.
proud of you lads, keep it up
>>220608339>here must be some plants around for foodthere are no plants with the nano-swarm cloud that was literally designed to block out the sun for solar powered machines. in fact, after all that time without plants the atmosphere should not be breathable. another reason the matrix or machine life support would be absolutely essential for survival.
>>220608313It's similar to the truman show sometimes. Everyone is in on it.
>>220608313>here, watch me disappear after picking up this phone.
>>220608156I’m NTA, I think his point is valid though. Cypher is an exception to the rule which proves it. Redpills are invariably truth seekers, they want to know what is real rather than live in a lie. I’m sure Cypher did too before he became jaded and got no Trinity pussy. Imagine having to watch that broad wear tight clothes and show her fat pussy everywhere and never hit it. What a tragic character, should have at least groped her before death.
>>220608180>shit always gets stolen>constant fights>always noisy with their cackle and shit ass music>imagine the smellNo sane person would live here. That's why Cipher stayed on the ship. At least its quiet there and your stuff isn't stolen.
>>220608194They don't know because they're following vagaries, mythos and prophecies handed down to them by the machines for purposes they do not at that time understand. They're in the midst of a rigged game that they don't even know they're playing.
>>220608448or cypher just had a problem with authority, of not being in control of his life, and that didn't dissipate after gaining digital superpowers.
>>220608194The Architect already answered those questions. Neo isn't an anomaly but a another program code used to reset the Matrix when the timeliness resets sometime around 1999 the pinnacle of human civilization. Going on would mean more and more redpills awakening destabilizing the matrix so he has to go into the source code and sacrifice himself so that zion and everyone in the matrix can live. He was supposed to be the 6th version but he chose annilation of everyone because of that thing called love and decided to go to the machine when he apparently had his matrix powers in the real world somehow being able to see the golden source code of reality itself and sacrificed himself there.
>a high paying office job in a 1999 America (the literal peak of western civilization) is so boring and lame!!! I wish I could take a pill that would make my life into a shittier version of the terminator universe!
>>220608499its a white person thing, you'll never understand. you want to be cattle. hell, you worship cattle.
>>220608436The Agents will know right when they do that. It’s the same reason why they can’t use bullet time to perform superhuman feats to show him.
>>220607707gaytrix? d
>>220608523No, that would be Indians like you that worship cattle saar
>>220608559>the brown goes for the no uevery single time.
>>220608313>Neo, the matrix is a video game designed by machine overlords to occupy your mind while they use your real body as a battery
>>220608499If you had a soul, you would understand why Neo didn’t want to live in a cage
>>220607983Nah, he tricked them. He withheld critical information, which is essentially the same thing the machines do. OP is right, Neo is free to do whatever Morpheus tells him to do, eat that goo and sleep in that 2x2 cell. The only upside is that he knows the truth, he knows he is a slave but is it really an upside? He was happier when he was an ignorant drone.
>>220608583>oh... you're a crazy person, I'll be leaving now
>>220607707Say you take the bluepill, now you're aware SOMETHING is up but you don't know what. The agent smiths are constantly on your ass and harassing you from now on. They WILL try and likely succeed at lobotomizing you. Above all of this, sooner or later Neo is gonna free everyone and you'll still live a shitty life in the post apocalypse until you likely die of starvationThere is no winning here, the matrix universe objectively sucks to live in. Your best bet is killing yourself before you're even awakened
>>220608608damn straight
>>220608389what do the people outside the matrix eat?>after all that time without plants the atmosphere should not be breathableThe Matrix takes place 700 years in the future, I think the atmosphere then would still be breathable, while there are no O2 sources from the plants and phytoplankton, there are also no CO2 sources from decaying plants and phytoplankton. It would take millions of years for atmospheric composition to change without a biosphere. The biggest caveat would be the industry of the machines, if that was heavily polluting then yes, the atmosphere wouldn't be breathable.
>>220608619If everyone pressed the blue pill then we will all be ok.
>>220608602The opening part of the movie spells out what Mr Andersons life would have been had he taken the bluepill. He would have kept his cozy bullshit office job that allowed him to live in a palatial goon cave.He would have spent the rest of his days being a 133t haxx0rz and fucking pasty white goth bitches at raves with other bootiful huwhite people.
>>220608619Fucking loved this one. Loved em all, actually.
>>220608120>By the way, the physical world is a hellscape nightmare and the world is physically ruined beyond repair and we all live like savages in underground caves and are being actively hunted and barely survive day to day.Not that hard to describe. He omitted the truth because he likely tried to pull people before and once he described it they said yeah fuck that and took the blue pill.
>>220608619Why do they even have to chase Neo around inside the matrix when they still had him in a pod? Can't they just like turn off his life support remotely?
>>220608693anon he was basically standing in the corner thinking his feet hurt and he wants to go back to his computer until trinity starts coming onto him.
>>220608693Yeah but he would have never found his one true love Trinity. I guess if Trinity was plugged in they could have sex inside the Matrix.
>>220608600>you would understand why Neo didn’t want to live in a cageThat's why he got unplugged to live in Zion... oh
>matrix's idea of freedom is to live in poverty on earth where everything is destroyed beyond repair i'm starting to think these movies weren't really good>directors trooned out soon after releaseoh, maybe they're actually just goyslop
>reee the real world sucks the matrix is better>just ignore the ability to instantly download knowledge/skills in your brain and gain superpowers
>>220608680>there are also no CO2 sourceshow about the CO2 source from the machine's main power supply? HUMANS!
>>220608483no, you're not getting it. I'm saying the humans in the real world win. they EMP every machine and destroy the machine city. humans can crawl up out of theirs holes or down off thier pods into the barren wasteland. now what?
>>220608778He’s not in a cage like he was before and is free to leaveSome people just don’t want to live in cages. If you can’t understand this, it’s because you don’t have a soul.
>>220608583>now take this strange pill to return to your room or come with us to the goon cave we live in
>>220608966You're right, some people just want to enjoy the simple scenery of barren wastelands like >>220608953
>>220608531>here watch me bend this spoon with my mind
reminder: every time an agent hijacks someone is because they just saw something "impossible" done by a resistance member.
Oh second thought Neo had everything. He made solid money being a computer programmer for an established company. Yeah it's a cubicle but so is most every office job at the time like game development ect. He made side hustle money selling hacks. He attended night raves with beautiful women and had friends who honestly cared for him like that guy that told him he just needed to relax. But he spent what amounted to too much time on the internet seeking truth and in the end truth got him. Its really a Greek tragedy. Neo embraces this persona of Hercules but at what cost? The gods have cursed him with knowledge and he is now a wanderer in a place he once called home. He can no longer order Chinese food from his favorite takeout. He has to eat slop he had to listen to a group of people of which he knows nothing about. Save meeting Trinity his life is now he'll and he decides that existence itself must be destroyed so he ends both zion and the matrix.
>>220607707Neo made the right choice if you think about the 2020's
>>220608339There are none, humanity engineered a nano-swarm that even the technological singularity formed by the machines could not repair. Humanity wouldn’t bother with plantlife, they would find greater sources of geothermal energy and eventually form vast subterranean civs while trying to find a solution to the clouds.
>>220608619i agree but neo didnt free eveyone at the end of revolutions. only those who wanted to leave. my and my cypher bros still kicking it eating steak and shit lol
>>220609058Humans can't live without food, they must have some plants>even the technological singularity formed by the machines could not repairCouldn't, or wouldn't bother to once they've decided to use Humans for energy?
>>220608997They can’t. Whenever a redpill bends the rules of the Matrix Agents are made aware. That’s why they only use these abilities when pressed. If they were really trying to be realistic about it and the entire mirror scene wasn’t actually necessary, they would have just dosed his ass right after they took out the bug from his belly button.
>>220608844>i can kick your ass with kung fu in the matrixwelp back to swabbing the deck and eating the goo
The hell inside the Matrix is knowing that it's fake. Thats why Cypher wants his mind erased. You can no longer enjoy anything. Similar to growing up as a kid every little thing matters because it's new it's cool it's wonderful as an adult it's all grey and you end up in an existential crisis. I would honestly wish to have my mind erased sometimes just so I can experience the full joy of walking on the beach for the first time or seeing Alien or going to a Waterpark. Its fucked really
>>220609123... yea anon the humans had no sources of food...you should watch the movies sometime. you won't understand them, due to being brown, but you won't say stupid shit anymore.
>NEOOOOOOOOO
>>220609037>selling hacksanon... I
>>220609033Correct. And I’m willing to bet there are various levels of attention based on the level of ‘rule-bending.’ This kind of jives with the shorts they had in the Animatrix, where they seem to not pay that much attention until it gets out of hand and then they shut it all down.
>>220609037>he ends both zion and the matrix. no he doesnt? did you even watch the movies?
>>220609137Cypher wants a mindwipe because he wants to forget Trinity. He was being dishonest. Hell wasnt living with in cramped quarters with shitskins and eating goyslop it was clawing his way out of the fake and gay samsara of the matrix and finding the love of his life and then realizing she will never even spare a fraction of the love he feels for her towards him.
>>220609037The man that took him to the club was one of his customers, it's a major stretch to call him a friend seeing as how he's nowhere to be seen later in the night, because he probably fucked off to go and bang his whores. Neo definitely didn't have any friends, at least any we're aware of. We don't even see he had any family. Every shot of him in the Matrix shows a man dissociating, wandering through life lacking purpose, knowing there is something just at the edge of his perception holding him back. I do agree that the plight of the redpills is fundamentally tragic, in that they are forced to know that the life they lived was a lie, and that they can never return to blissful ignorance. At the same time, it is uplifting. Unlike the Greek heroes who know they are doomed and feel its inevitability, every redpill fights believing there is a future in which humanity achieves freedom.
>>220608953>we just defeated the machines what do we do now? I dunno rebuild. Get the shovel Apoc we have some work to do!
>>220608600>>220608523>AHHHH a comfy job and life is literally a prison!!!this is why people make fun of yout. 6'4 blue eyed chad in corporate wfh job making six figures while fucking around and DMing baddies all day
>>220609385yep. see white people have this ability to look to the future and the idea of cubicle codemonkey work every day for the rest of their lives and then retiring is pretty horrifying.
>>220609363ya you have fun with that. ill be living it up in 1999
>>220609194Do you think Cypher made a program with Trinitys appearance just to you know but really he didn't care about the crew in the end he just wanted to be free and himself again. Yeah he definitely loved his and he seemed really upset that this Neo now took he that's what pushed him over the edge but again I think it was his deep hatred of Morpheus and seeing the so called plan unfold. I would love to be a fly in the room when he met the Oracle and what she told him.
>>220609137This is somewhat tangential but relevant given the nature of the topic: I recently first read about the bicameral mind. It is a hypothesis that human consciousness as we know it today is a modern development, and in fact it was during the ancient and classical eras our minds became as they are today. Prior to that, this idea states, human minds existed in a state in which one portion of the brain would give verbal commands and the other carried them out. This would be all non-conscious, leading to humans at the time experiencing reality via hallucinations akin to someone experiencing schizophrenia. This explains the lack of individuality in writings, and many cultures across the planet treating divinity as though it walked amongst them. The Ancient and Classical eras then, were characterized by loss. They sought to return to a time when the gods walked among them. They built monuments, gave sacrifices, and prayed fervently, but the gods were always on Olympus, or in the halls of Asgard. There, but no longer close enough to speak to. I'd never heard of this before yesterday, and it strikes me how similar it is to our yearning for innocence. We long to return to a time when everything was simpler, when the world was brighter and things made sense. I can see how, if this hypothesis were true, this yearning for innocence could itself be vestiges of the introspective mind to return to a bicameral mind.
>>220609465
>>220609423Its only horrifying if your identity is tied to your job. Some people have lives outside of being a wagie.Youve now made me realize why so many people loved that wagie slop Severance. So grazie anonino
>>220609657probably live longer in the life support pod than you will in that hellscape lol

>>220609037 It’s always funny seeing anons reply stating that Neo was better off being blue pilled with tubes up his ass and down his throat for his entire fake life. You are an NPC.
>>220609707Yeah sure late stage capitalism and all that other commie fag shit. How boring.Trading one samsara for another. Whats the point of hypothetically taking the redpill if youre that retarded.
>>220609635>It is a hypothesis that human consciousness as we know it today is a modern developmentOne of the most retarded hypothesis I've ever read. It's basically pic related but applied towards ancient generations.
>>220608992Imagine if at the end of The Truman Show, Truman went >You’re right, Kristoff! I did love being a slave for the amusement of others! Please let me crawl back to my house and go back to having everything dictated for me.Would be a pretty shitty ending, don’t you think? That’s basically what blue pill ideology is
>>220609711if the world was as fucked up as it is in the matrix we would be RUSHING to build a virtual reality to escape it. hell we already are, youre on a faggot ass website instead of living your life

>>220609757on the evolutionary scale, "modern" is everything for the last ten thousand years or so.
>>220609761this lol. back then it was seen as the inhuman thing to accept an idyllic, blissful fantasy, but zoomers are so demoralized and emasculated that they think its the moral choice
>>220609137Cypher is basically asking God to let him be reincarnated but on a higher rung so he’ll have a better life. He’s also a total fool to trust the machines won’t put him back in the same old life or even give him a worse one after they get what they want.He found out everything was fake and a meant to be a prison the first time. Even if he got his idea of a happy ending, he’ll want out again
>>220609761the point you're missing is without truman being ignorant of the nature of his reality, there's no longer any drama or compelling reason to watch him. so it is kinda odd that christoph is trying to talk him into going back.
>>220609781You could have admitted you had no retort instead of lashing out at the saars.
>>220609828anon he's jacked into the matrix alone while everyone else is asleep. the machines could've just sent in sentinels and gotten the codes that way. the fact the meeting is happening at all is proof the machines aren't duplicitous.

>>220609757It makes sense to me. There are uncontacted peoples which whose language lacks many terms we're familiar with, and by all means their thinking patterns seem to match it. I don't know I'd agree humans were all schizophrenic, but I don't have a difficult time at all believing people even a few hundred years ago had a different thought process than I do today.
>>220610048and then you look at shit like the pompeii graffiti and realize you're a moron, right?

>>220610307you could watch the movie.
>>220610295>graffiti being mistranslated means everything is the sameI did not even begin to suggest this. I don't even believe that, personally. Why won't you just state what your argument is?

>>220610326S-sure thing buddy
>>220610261you could just read pompeii graffitti and see how practically none of it is as alien as it would need to be to support your beliefs that current human consciousness is only a couple generations old. Shit, there's thousands of years of literature that would prove human consciousness hasn't changed much in that time.but no, youve got some quasi-solipsist bullshit you want to believe that makes you more special than the generations of humans that had sex to create you.

>>220610216>>220610307>>220610330He has a fair point to ask about the city. It's never explicitly explained exactly how it works. It's never even confirmed there's really only one city, it simply looks that way from what we see in the film. >>220610248Insecure because a commie on 4chan said mean things about wageslaving. If you say so loser. Keep seething about work like its the only thing that matters in your boring life.
Is the 4th movie worth watching? I'm curious of how shit it could possibly be but I'm worried it would retroactively make me view the trilogy worse.
>>220610398Neo was stuck on a NA server instance. He should thank the Machine Sentience God he didnt spawn in a Brazilian or Russian server.
>>220610473>Is the 4th movie worth watching?if you enjoy being angry
i would simply refuse to return to the matrix. i'd be jacked in a program i had some dude make me and it would be super cool
>>220610473>is the new goyslop worth consumingthat question alone makes you less than human
>>220610387What? I didn't say current human consciousness is only a few centuries old. The bicameral mind theory points towards pre-ancient humans as having this mindset and losing it around the ancient era. It seems to point to the collapse of the Bronze Age, so I'd assume 1,200 BC. What I said was I personally observe that people just a few hundred years ago behaved and thought differently, so I personally did not find it impossible to believe that the human mind developed so radically a few thousand years ago. I don't know though.Additionally, just because some graffiti on a slab in Pompeii bears strikingly human behaviors does not mean that Pompeiians did not think radically differently from humans, it means that we share similar behaviors today. Everyone could just as easily have believed that ritual human sacrifice is perfectly acceptable and just and wrote all those things down. Your entire contention with this thought process seems to revolve around the idea that I'm speaking from a point of superiority, rather than curiosity. Why in the world would my acknowleding the idea my ancestors actually believed they were being contacted by divine beings --a perfectly reasonable argument given the thousands of years of fervent writings suggesting such-- mean I think that I'm better than them because I do not? Calm down. It's a simple hypothesis that deserves some reflection, even as an amusement. Stop getting so emotional over this.
>>220610493programs are rather limited. the programs they use are mostly for training

>>220610473It is extremely awful. I cannot think of a single thing that it does better than any of its predecessors. Cinematography, choreography, acting, action, music, writing, literally every single thing in this movie is done more poorly than even Revelations. It's a truly terrible film.
>>220610473The first act is a big tongue in cheek fuck you to the studio which is kind of funny if you're into Freddie Got Fingered type movies. The rest of it turns into a paint by numbers marvelized expansion to the mythos that generally ignores the mmo and any other media outside the original trilogy and animatrix. It's more of a strange novelty than an actual movie of any worth. Unless you really want to see a giant meta shitpost from larry wachowski to the WB execs it's probably not worth your time. It ceratinly doesn't retroactively ruin anything but for most people it'd be a waste of ~2.5 hrs.
>>220610378Anyone smart enough to escape the matrix is likely a top tier human being.
anyone know where i can buy morpheus chair?
AHHHHHHH
>>220610638whats the basic premise? that the architect resurrects Neo and Trinity just so he can study their love relationship?
>>220610689neo and trinity are both the one for some reason and they're just being used as batteries again
>>220610653>assemble base to re-recreate this key scene from the film MATRIX RELOADED wut?
>>220610708so just like 2 batteries?
>>220609814Zoomers grew up in a post 9/11 world, so they've never known a better life is possible.
>>220610653
>>220610689The basic premise is that the Architect looks to provide as much energy he can by means of increasing human suffering. They use social media to do this, the message is that the internet and everything about it are extremely toxic. This kind of all sells it short though, because it makes you think that these things are just themes in the movie rather than themes that are stated word for word by a character in the movie. It's an extremely bad movie that knows it is a bad movie and says it to you explicitly. I honestly do not know what exactly happened, it's stated by a character in the actual movie that Warner would have made the movie without the participation of the Wachowski's, but based on what I saw the one Wachowski that did join the project campaigned for the movie.Maybe this whole thing was just meant to be attention-seeking by a Wachowski, who knows.
>>220610811Pretty cool I love fan made stuff
>>220610689I watched it through once when it released and I barely remember the main plot at all anymore. I think he got revived and got put in like a machine witness protection program within the matrix and trinity's body was recovered and put in stasis after the events of Revolutions. The jist of the plot is it's a retread of 1 where neo has a RSI that was given to him to prevent him from remembering who he was and he's working on a videogame that he's getting harassed by the publisher about which is obviously a thinly veiled metaphor for WB strongarming the wachowskis about making a sequel that they aren't interested in making and all the checklists and focusgrouping that movie making has become. A new slate of redpills have to track down neo again and remind him of who he is because a remenant of smith survived Revolutions and it's threatening the matrix and the real world again. It's not terrible but it's not great either. Like I said the only part that really stands out as something worth seeing is the beginning commentary on the state of big budget movie making. The rest of the movie is a lot like episode 7.
>>220607707If you're in the Matrix and I'm not, you're at my mercy. I could tickle your nose with a feather in the real world and there'd be nothing you could do to stop me.
>>220610811They even got the filter right. Kek.
>>220610811Howling
>>220610883How? What if I'm in a pod 500 stories up.
>>220610987I'll get a ladder.
>>220611000What if a Sentinel sees you?
>>220611011Swat it away
>>220611011You better pray that happens.
>>220609635You need to go back and read some actually good ancient authors. There is so much content in every single sentence Cicero writes that I feel like a total brainet even trying to comprehend what he's saying. To imply that guys like this didn't have any basic sentience is absurd. We're like children compared to the ancient world intellectuals for all of our advanced technology. Latin is so information-dense as a language and it was considered pleb-tier by contemporary Roman patricians who often spoke ancient Greek dialects amongst themselves.
>>220610437yeah, he got you right in the soft parts.
Neo’s life in the matrix kinda sucked. He had to wear a suit to a fucking cubicle jockey coder job, his boss was a ballbusting prick, he lived alone and didn’t enjoy being around his “friends” all that much and they weren’t even really his friends. He was just gonna do the same thing all day every day for decades until he was too old & frail to even work a keyboard, move into a retirement community and stare at the wallpaper until he keeled over.So he has to eat egg jizz for every meal and will never own a shirt that doesn’t have rips in it ever again, big deal. His life became meaningful again. Even taking away the whole savior of humanity thing, he got to go on cool adventures with his friends and kill bad guys.
>>220610638>that generally ignores the mmoexcept the part where morpheus is dead and lionized, right? as that was one of the canon conflicts of the mmo, that the factions fought to decide which outcome occurs, what to do about what morpheus was doing.
>>220608194To escape to the clean garden paradise real world the machines have been hiding beyond the matrix and the niggermatrix cons
>>220607707> Your life of being so rich you never have to work, of owning a mansion on a sunny island, with your harem of sex slave's including Ana De Armas, Isabella Merced, Mackenzie Foy, at your beck and call, was a lie. That's why we rescued you,,anon, by pulling you out of the Matrix into this post-apocalyptic world of misery and endless suffering.
>>220610825>the one Wachowski that did join the project campaigned for the movie.thats part of the standard studio contract. has been for decades, if not longer.
Hop on
>>220611069I've actually read The Phillipics, I agree. Classic Rome has some of the most insightful writings I have ever read, Hellenistic in culture is in my mind some of the bedrock of the modern world. But the bicameral mind hypothesis comes to the conclusion that by the ancient and classical eras humanity was already in its introspective stage. It is the Bronze Age and before, it alleges, where humanity was bicameral. I can believe it, though I would be biased since I'm not well-versed on Bronze Age cultures. From what I have seen and read though I could believe that they were markedly different from the cultures that emerged after the collapse.
>>220608483He answered them...concordantly.
>>220608568I love it when they use what they are as an insult its so fucking funny
>>220608499Mr. Wick left his desk job to become an assassin.
Is anyone else bothered by how cramped neos room is. I guess studio apartments in New York city are outrageous in price.
>>220611247This place isn't really that bad, just needs better lighting and no greenpiss filter. I've know people living in worse conditions.
>>220609385>baddiesBrown zoomer pls
>>220611247I have personally lived in apartments smaller than this and been fine. Not where I would want to be longterm but quite doable.
>>220609363How will you rebuild a dead Earth? The sun is blocked out. That’s the root of every calorie on the planet.
>>220611247matrix was filmed in sydney, which is kinda funny to think that its a burger version of the city in the matrix
>>220607707Cypher coded loser.Neo chads eat goop & bang trinities
>>220607970>I am so sick of these fags and blacks being in movies I can’t wait for society to collapse>AAAAAHHHH MORPHEUS PLUG ME BACK IN THE REAL WORLD IS TOO HARD AND NOT COMFY PLUG ME BACK INNNNNNN
>>220607707you are weak
>>220607707>can live in fake-cyber-heaven>choose to live in real-cyber-hellwhy tho, if its indistinguishable then whomst cares? trading one illusion for another
>>220611665At the end of the day reality is what you make of it I don't know any bad consequences of residing in the Matrix I can see plenty of being in the real world.
>>220611413They clearly have big industrial capacity if they’re still able to produce fresh water and food. They spread out and could live underground and maybe they could rebuild the machines that blocked out the sun and run them in reverse
>>220611737You’re still residing in the real world in the matrix.
>remember, all I'm offering is the truth
Why does everyone think he's highly paid? They never mention his salary, he lives in a dumpy apartment, and I think selling illegal software was implied to be making ends meet Also I grew up playing Shadowrun on the SNES and thought cyberpunk was so fucking cool. I was super disappointed to find out real life hacking doesn't involve you pulling out a laptop and saying oh man check out this encryption! It's military grade! While typing really fast, and is actually getting people to give you passwords by pretending to be IT or taking advantage of lazy people who have their password set as "workpassword123", none of which interested me
>>220611798Your body is in the real world your consciousness is in the matrix. What's interesting is if you die in the matrix you die in real life. I don't know if this rule only applies to redpills who are jacked in as morpheus says the body cannot live without the mind. Speaking of which the machines could have just rendered everyone a vegetable and still extracted energy as body heat.
>>220611843Wasnt it implied he was selling cp.Thats why the feds were looking for him apart from agent shenanigans.
>>220608330It's almost as if the movies were retarded
>>220611867It turns out that being in a coma fucks up the temperature regulation of the human body. The machines might have tested it on one of their server farms but ended up shelving the idea when overclocking humans just fried them even in the jelly.
>>220611843He lives alone in an city apartment which itself is not cheap but being a software engineer in the 90s was a BIG thing. Most people didn't know how to use a computer then and you were basically akin to a wizard to some. The pay was defenetly going to be higher then a similar placement today. I think neo used his "hacker" abilities to pay for illicit stuff or have friends he seemed to gel with the eccentric crowd.
>>220611926In 1999 city apartments could be cheap
>>220611971Arguably commercial space today is cheap because of the ability to work remotely that alot of buildings are being converted to residential.
>>220612003lol. lmao. their value is being held, if not inflated, because it was leveraged. if they rented/leased at less than the established value they’d lose money.
>>220612027What do you mean by leveraging
>>220612027This nigger knows. I used to work next to an empty high rise in a major city. Only the street facing first floor had tenants.A whole fucking empty building because renting space below "market" price would fuck up their taxes or something like that.
>>220612076You take out a loan based upon the established value of the space.
>>220608389They're able to grow strawberries and shit in matrix 4
>>220607707>Your unpaid shift starts tomorrow. What the fuck?!
What's gonna happen with all the people plugged in že matrix once zion destroy machines and matrixcollapses? Zion don't have capacity to plug everyone at once ane heal thier muscles and shit. Are they just going to kill off the cattle? What's their plan?
>>220612942Another red pill side-effect they necglected to tell him about was being press-ganged into service on a military ship.
>>220613097>Trust the Architect, find The One, He will save usProbably thought with his transcendent abilities he would be able to control the Matrix and somehow disable all machines. Pretty sensible as far as religious fervor goes. Humanity placed all of its faith in one man to deliver them since the alternative was despair and defeat.
>>220608499Matrix core message is that it's every persons responsibility to to accept an uncomfortable truth over a comforting lie. You can disagree with it, but that's what it's saying. Neo doesn't have to reject his life in the Matrix because it's bad, but because it's fake.
by the way uhh we sort of started the war against the machines that doomed humanity
