There's also some trend related to that "baby face" look in China and to make their faces look smaller, they have bone concrete added on top of their skulls to make the top of their head look bigger so their face looks smaller (bone concrete is a real thing but typically only used to treat serious bone injures/damage).It was also fascinating to learn of all these bizarre Asian trends and the incredible lengths people go to for getting these looks.

Someone on Twitter reacted to the Netflix Trailer of Dakota Johnson starring in Persuasion and saying something like 'But Dakota Johnson looks like someone who would know what an IPhone was, referring primarily to her hair looking way too modern for the early 1800s (and Dakota is known as the actress with bangs/fringe haircuts more than anyone and no one was wearing that in 1800s). Now I think it much more refers to obvious and distracting cosmetic procedures as you stated.
