I was convinced to start watching it again because the series was almost over and I don't have much else going on at the moment. I didn't find season 4 nearly as bad as everyone else did, and I liked Gen V season 1. Gen V season 2 was kinda shit, and The Boys season 5... holy fuck. The first episode was okay, carried by the conclusion of A-Train's character arc. Everything afterward has been just... nothing. It's the final season of the series, and NOTHING IS FUCKING HAPPENING. Second-to-last episode of the series and instead of advancing the plot, Sheline and Dogknott ARE SNIFFING EACHOTHER'S ASSES. There are so many plot points (from two shows) left to wrap up in one episode that I know it's impossible to be good. So I want it it to be really really bad. So bad it's funny. So bad it gets immortalized on /tv/ as a joke like Baneposting. "Somehow, Frenchie returned" would be a good (as in so bad it's good) start. Maybe they don't even finish the episode, maybe 20 minutes in Eric Kripke just stares into the camera and flips me off (like the ending of Crank: High Voltage) before cutting to the credits so I can be like "haha oh man, you got me, you were actually just trolling us this whole time". Really, after episode 7 I had to look up how many episodes the season is just to make sure they're actually going to attempt to end the series next episode (today I guess). >Expectations Well I saw the spoiler pictures so I guess I know the biggest moment of the episode. A reasonably satisfying if fairly predictable finale.Except for Marie not playing any role in beating Homelander or having any direct confrontation with him. That's a major blunder, spending 2 seasons setting up a character to help do that, and then casually going never mind and discarding her.
