Something needs to be said about how the otherwise-impeccable atmosphere the film has maintained all the way up to this moment is fucking shattered as it turns into a 50s B-movie with that fucking trumpet and full clear shots of the costumed actor bouncing off the spaceship-hull set on a wire. I view it as a bit of a tragedy
