Butcher doesn't think about it and is satisfied listening to him squeal but you can tell Hughie gets no enjoyment out of it. The last scene is a timeskip with Hughie going after Edgar, even just something cliche like crashing his press conference, and actually getting to him and tearing him down without using any powers at all.
