>>220681646give left a top hat and...
>>220685655if he had got the part they would have ended up writing better stuff for Riker because Jeff is a more compelling actor.
>>220685675I don't think so. Riker was meant to be the potential new Kirk if Picard didn't work out. He always had a very defined character and never really strayed far from the initial concept in any way. He probably has the least character drift of any TNG character, when compared to the original concept.
>>220685655They probably could've gone for a Combs Riker if they had a tall Picard.
>>220685695>Riker was meant to be the potential new Kirk if Picard didn't work out.if they had cast Jeff they obviously would have shifted that concept to something that better suited him.

>>220686617k
>>220686266>>220686656I'm legitimately not joking. You are underestimating how good Frakes is. His voice is the most important Riker component in my opinion. He has a very authoritative, commanding voice. Imagine Combs saying some of Riker's most notable lines and it just sounds wrong because Combs is soft-spoken and doesn't have the right sort of physique/voice for the role at all.>I don't need your fantasy women, Q!etcIt doesn't matter how good an actor is at their craft; they can still be wrong for a part. The best actor to ever play any Star Trek role is probably Brad Douriff's brief stint as Suder in VOY but could he play Captain Kirk? Could he play Riker? No, absolutely not.
>>220686716Frakes has nothing to do with it. Riker was a boring as fuck character no matter who they cast to read his lines.

I recommend a little home workout, reading of books you enjoy and long walks. keep those to yourself for as long as possible, you don't want to attach your socials to them immediately or run around telling everyone about your new obsession, these are for you and noone else. the rest follows naturally.and keep your time online limited, this place kills the soul.good luck

For a franchise that prides itself on providing some kind of vaguely scientific explanation for most of their fictional elements the voyager aeroponics bay is really lazy. There were working hydro- and aeroponic concepts around at the time of filming, none of which would look anything like this. Kurtzman just can't write with the intelligence and wit needed to pull off something like that.
